Regardless of formation,it won't work if a player doesn't do his job well enough and you said playing a diamond was a mistake.

I maintain,No mistakes were made.I also give up
I thought and seems other did too before the game that Coutinho's legs were gone in previous games & he desperately needed a rest.. that is all. Bit of an over the top reaction from some. but sure what can ya do.

Each to their own, all good

Anyway, we're all just having a discussion. We're all happy campers here.
Things are so good... we have to find things to argue about

I wouldn't have start Coutinho in any formation looking to control a strong midfield.. as he has looked exhausted previously

Bar Swansea, I thought he has played well recently and was getting a lot of recognition playing in a deeper central role. At 21, playing 1 game a week I don't think he can complain of exhaustion and if we're playing a diamond formation I think he would get the nod over Sterling almost every time.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I thought Aspas played well by the way.

His post match interviews are always word perfect

I'm fascinating how he'll continue to handle the inevitable ramping up of Mourinho's tedious mind games. We're a confirmed threat now so I'm sure he'll target us.

He'll simply say that Mourinho loved to wind people up and it's all part of the game. Much the same way that players never ever answer the question.

Jeez, Theo Walcott as a pundit was **** -

"So Theo, what's it like playing with a 20 a season striker that likes to contribute to the play too?"

"Yeah he's a good striker and he works hard"

What the **** kind of answer is that?

Well it's a good one if Rodgers uses the same tactics in order to answer Mourinho.

I thought Walcott was ok. He comes across as a decent guy.

That response was clearly his way of saying that he thinks Giroud is ****. He couldn't have been any clearer to be honest

Walcott was the worst pundit I've ever seen ...he didn't even seem to know what words were tumbling out of his mouth.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Now that I think about it, he did sound a little reluctant to offer praise ..
