What strikers were on display at that match? Anyone worth a punt as a January transfer?

Brendan is taking the long view with signings like Yesil and Assaidi. I think Yesil will be a regular for us soon enough.

Superb adjustments at half time I thought. Put us in a position to win the game at a point we were getting pushed around and an Everton win looked inevitable.

I thought if we passed it a wee bit better, we would have won it quite easily. Game was open because we didn't pass it. Rodgers was impressive tactically, that tactical change at half time was Rafa'esque.
                Are we winning?

Everton were playing like lunatics and our lads got dragged into it. Rodgers saw we couldn't keep our cool in possession so he abandoned us trying to pass it around and switched to direct counter attacking. We were more dangerous than Everton in the 2nd half even when they pressed us more.

no it wasn't it was Rodgeresque. Rafa's were 99% of the time on 62nd Minute

BUT once in Rafa's first season, we were 2-0 down to Fulham at half time. He brought on Alonso (who should have started anyway) at half time and boom: we won 4 - 2. Alonso scored twice. That was the only team I can recall him making a tactical change before 62 mins

There was also some minor game in Istanbul.

Erm, how about Hamann against Milan in Istanbul?

It's a prediction thread on a wish list.

It wasn't tactical. Finnan was injured.

Ermmmmmmm it wasn't a tactical change at all. I think you will find it was a change forced on him as Finnan was injured
