Brendans signings so far. Assaidi (Absolute bargain) Sahin (Fits right in with our philosophy and is growing in stature each game) Allen (The heartbeat of our team) and Borini (Needs to add goals to his game and we'll have a younger Dirk Kuyt)

Brendan has got it spot on. We have the right man in charge.

His signings have done well but I still think his failure to sort either of our long term squad problems (cover for Lucas and a goalscorer) has to be a worry. He's made a lot of progress though and deserves time and IMO praise for the progress in imposing his style achieved so far.

Well it may be naive on my part but I'm already a believer. I think he has an unshakable self-belief in his own ability to make us a great side again. In fact, I would go as far to say as he totally and utterly believes he is destined for the top. I think this attitude and his dedication to hard-work and commitment is starting to rub off on the players. You can see it in their application over the last few games. Confidence is probably the most important thing in the game. He has even started to get a response from Stewart Downing. I like this guy. Rodgers needs time.

I don't like him. I think he's good though. How good he is only time will tell.

The Downing situation is odd - Rodgers has gone from cheap digs in the media to obvious backing today. What next - drop him to the reserve after scoring the winner then put him in the first XI against Chelsea? One Swallow and all that, but he had a much better game today.

You don't like Rodgers? Or maybe you wanted to say that he still hasn't 'won' you over?

He hasn't won me over yet, but there are definite signs of progress. Don't like his expletives at times, think it's unneeded, but I guess we can see signs that on the whole, things are improving. He needs more time as you say.
            Are we winning?

That might be a better phrasing but it's slightly stronger than that. I just don't like the cut of his jib. There is something about the way he comes across that rubs me up the wrong way. He's clearly a good manager though and I'm sure that with time/familiarity I'll like him more.

I really don't get any of the Borini stick.

Thing is we were worried at the start of the season about who would score our goals.

I think we've scored in almost every game so far and they've been spread throughout the team so I'm happy with that.

It's the mistakes / cheap goals conceded that have cost us so far this season.

Rodgers needs time though. We're improving, we've played good football this season... give him at least three years to put his stamp on this team.

Me neither. I've been impressed by him.

I thought Strachan made a salient point yesterday.

He compared LFC's tactics with Germany's and that the national team's two attacking wide players are generally comfortable at moving inside when the ball is on the other wing. While our two wide attackers are more out and out wingers which means they're less inclined to move into the box.

Sterling & Assaidi are both young enough to learn this. And both have a record of scoring goals, all be it Raheem in the reserves.

I think both those two & Suso will develop & add more goals to their game. My main worry with the side is how we solve the Suarez problem.

He's fantastic through the middle but doesn't score enough. I think we may have to lose a bit of his input so we can add a more productive striker.

That said, I'd only put Suarez out wide if we signed an absolute top class striker. I wouldn't move him just for the sake of it.

Not sure about Assaidi becoming a major goalthreat but Sterling can do anything he wants - or so it seems.

I don't want to bash Suarez (again) but I don't think he really fits the BR system. The attacking focal point has to be deadly in front of goal for the whole system to really flourish.

Would not surprise me in the slightest if Luis starting to become prolific once we bring in another proven goalscorer.
