Well, clearly it's not embarrassing for the guys using that vocabulary. But I feel it on their behalf. I really do.Originally posted by G View PostEmbarrassing for who?
I don't use many of the names mentioned but have occasionally and have found myself to be completely free from embarrassment.I'm 37
Some people say wearing replica kits is embarrassing for grown men too.Again I don't agree.Oh I don't know.

In my defense the main one I've used is Maureen,it is a bit silly but if I use cunt for him and Ferguson it just gets confusing.Originally posted by dom9 View PostWell, clearly it's not embarrassing for the guys using that vocabulary. But I feel it on their behalf. I really do.
I will try to limit your embarrassment for me in future by endeavouring to use only cunt in relation to both of the aforementioned individuals

I must admit, the one nickname I do like is Chavs for Chelsea. It's perfect and accurate in every way.Oh I don't know.

I don't mind Durham. He's changed his opinion and what's wrong with that? More annoying is someone like Tony Evans. He loves Dalglish & Rafa & is a massive fan of the club. But he just didn't take to Rogers because his faves didn't get the job. He called Paul Lambert a better manager and whilst he flakes a little, he still states that Lambert will have the better career. Of course he's entitled to his opinion, but you know he's sticking to it for the sake of it. What a mug.Originally posted by Sarb View PostThe stick he got for Being Liverpool off our own fans was totally stupid. I actually liked the programme and it raised our profile in The States. But it was comissioned before his time here
Its funny though. I remember Durham taking the piss out of him 5 games into his first season. He was talking about him being sacked. Last week he was all for Rodgers being involved in the England set up and where we would be now if he taken the role with Redknapp
Ive had a few issues with set up between attack and defence but I think he is a top manager and a very quick learner. Got some serious bottle too
Personally I liked Rodgers at Swansea & whilst hands up I wanted a bigger name appointment, I was reasonably happy with it & accepted that he'd be learning on the job. He still is really, but boy is he a quick learner. Still has lessons to learn though. Not changing the system earlier at home to Villa still annoys me. Cost us two points. But that's the way it goes.Forwards.......

Sorry I should have been clearer - By better now I mean from a footballing side of things, I would take our team and upward trajectory over their - we are happy in fourth mind set.Originally posted by G View Post
Now?
We've always been a better club than them. Ourselves and United stand alone as the only true giants of the English game.

I wanted Rafa back. Badly. Although not to Arn levels
Then I wanted a whole host of managers, including Roberto Martinez
I wasn't pissed off/upset that Rodgers got it, as I thought Swansea played very entertaining stuff; but still
I've never been so happy to be wrongI saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

I'm afraid to mention Rafa here and have him take over the thread but I just saw the title in a Guardian article, not read it yet, about how Rodgers has fixed all our problems because of his flexibility in use of systems and players. It's bloody hilarious isn't it. Rafa was 'always tinkering' and the farcical media story about how he changed the team every game for 99 games but Rodgers brilliance is due to his 'flexibility'. I was starting to doubt Rafa at the end and I've grown to love Rodgers but I'm not posting to compare them, I'm posting to highlight, yet again, how the way the media treats you can impact your 'legacy'. They are a bunch of hypocritical, completely prejudiced buffoons.
