This is a fantastic post from a lad over in RAWK........
---------
I doubted him. I can't deny it.
I thought he talked way too much Cliched bollocks when he first joined about the club and history X,Y,Z. It felt wooden, like he was being told exactly what to say and it got right on my nerves. The whole thing we were sold was "death by football" and for a while it was sort of taking shape but never really took off in the first season. Results were mixed, as were performances. A huge part of me was bitter because deep down i wanted Rafa back, but looking back now of course that should never be a weapon to aim at Rodgers.
The whole "playing out from the back" thing gives me heart attacks still, but we've evolved and developed. At first we appeared to passing just for the sake of it, now we pass with purpose. There's no doubt in my mind anymore Rodgers is the right manager for us. Whether or not the Barcelona "death by passing" model is what Rodgers is about, for me is questionable given how pragmatic he appears to be this season. We've seen counter attacking, every formation, different line-ups for different away games. In his first season Rodgers appeared to quite often view the way we play as one single method however this season he appears to be tailoring the way we play game by game, and it's working an absolute treat. Of course, i could be completely blind to the fact Rodgers has been doing this since day one, but i feel this season we've been far more dynamic in our approach to games than last season.
I'd say Rodgers biggest success since coming to Liverpool has been his ability to get the best out of every player, and yet get them into the team, and playing as well as they possibly can as a unit. Suarez, Sturridge, Henderson, Flannagan, Sterling, Skrtel, and Gerrard all improving. Yes, Steven Gerrard has improved. His coaching methods, tactics, team setup gets the best out of every single one of those players. The man is having an absolute stormer.
For years i've doubted us. Going into games i'd be worried, pessimistic, and doubtful about the game. I see the negatives, that's what Roy Hodgson did to me. When Gerrard was moved deeper like many i doubted it'd work. Brendan stuck two fingers up at me. Brendan Rodgers mirrors everything good about this Liverpool team. It's actually quite frightening how much they resemble him, and now as i believe in the team to do the job week in week out, i believe in Brendan Rodgers. I feel like a dickhead for ever doubting he was capable, but i'll admit it.
DALGLISH !! :respect

I doubted him.
I didn't think he was ready, and that Liverpool program didn't help either.
I spent a couple of months thinking that he didn't look quite right in out dugout, and that the football he would make us play would cause is to concede silly goals, especially when we insisted on playing from the back.
I was wrong though, and I basically know **** all.
The times they are a changin'.

The stick he got for Being Liverpool off our own fans was totally stupid. I actually liked the programme and it raised our profile in The States. But it was comissioned before his time here
Its funny though. I remember Durham taking the piss out of him 5 games into his first season. He was talking about him being sacked. Last week he was all for Rodgers being involved in the England set up and where we would be now if he taken the role with Redknapp
Ive had a few issues with set up between attack and defence but I think he is a top manager and a very quick learner. Got some serious bottle too
