It really hits home when you see BR's post-match comments. It's over. He thinks it's over. The players think it's over. When that happens... it's as good as over.

Feel for Stevie. He deserves that league title.

[cliche]It's out of our hands and the pressures off. Longshot but you never know.[/cliche]

I think we will beat Newcastle anyway, and whatever happens with City happens. We can just relax and enjoy.

Yeah. I just wonder how the players' morale was affected after today. Maybe Newcastle won't be the walk in the park we expected it to be. But I suppose it doesn't really matter... unless Villa somehow spawn a win at the Etihad. I can't see it and I think Villa will roll over because they're useless but who knows!

edit: Just had a look at Villa's form over the past six.... hahahahahaha

          It's over yes.
          Are we winning?

Still very hard to accept what happened lastnight. I think the season has finally caught up with a squad that's had very little rotation in certain areas. The legs have gone and we were running on fumes for the last 15 minutes. It's been a great season, the only failure is a mirage, purely down to our success. We had little right to mount a serious title challenge this year.

Think it's one of the reasons Yes. Legs had gone after their first goal went in. We tried too hard to score more.

We have a bright future with Rodgers in charge. Cheer up.

Will learn a lot from the last week. Gutted as hell this morning. Is some anger there but immensely proud of players for getting us back in the CL.

Rodgers is the man. He needs to sign a leader for our defence though

Rodgers is only saying that in the hope City get complacent. He hasn't given up. Jose said similar when City were clear a bit back. It might work & it might not. We will have to see.

I was physically sick yesterday and can't really talk about the game, but I agree with you Rodgers has proven himself and he is a really good learner as well. But our bench is tellingly lacking, over the last two games we really needed some quality off the bench and we got Aspas and Moses. I hope the owners have been taking note of that, we really need some quality reinforcements at the back, midfield and in attack. We have a good team but we our squad depth cost us the title IMO.
                      * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Hindsight and all that...but really wish Raheem had stayed on. Coutinho really struggled v Chelsea and looked so far off it yesterday. BR has learned some tough lessons in the last week but I have complete faith in him to put these wrongs right and deliver us the title (still not given up on it this season!!).

'If' Sterling wasn't injured... it was a bad substitution. Lot of people have said similar about that sub.

We've made the change of Raheem & Couts a few times this season. We didn't lose the game because of that change.

On the subject of the two though, we had some great chances for a 4th. Raheem should have buried one after a Sturridge pass, Couts with a side foot straight at the keeper. None compare to the Moses airshot, though I'd be interested to know how much a Palace player made contact with his foot as he shot. Pretty sure he gets hit before he can volley it in.
