Rodgers admitted that some players' levels are way off. Zola still fancies us for the title.

Have to agree.Originally posted by G View PostNot saying last season was a fluke but perhaps those who felt we would push on and challenge every season can see the point others like myself had that we may not get a better chance than last season. Gutted with how things have started and the most glaring deficiency from last season has remained uncorrected.
Last year was our big chance and we blew it. It's going to be so difficult to be challenging again.
Suarez is a massive loss, possibly the single biggest loss this club will ever experience.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Always, keep your face to the sun, and shadows will fall behind you.

I don't expect us to match last season or for things to click instantly. I think anyone who did was naive. We've got a good squad and things will come right, however despite this some of the last games have been unacceptable. Losing back to back games to Villa and West Ham is shocking.
Still, if they turn things around this will be forgotten at the end of the season. Like no one remembers our clean sheets and 1-0 victories at the beginning of the last one.

The Lambert sub for Borini rankles me so much. I've mentioned it before in this thread but it was ridiculous. Apart from slowing us down, we needed to be putting more and more emphasis on attack at the end. With West Ham putting on defenders and withdrawing more and more we should have had a mobile striker with Balotelli and Lambert up front. 2 at the back in such a desperate situation would have been a risk worth taking as West Ham withdrew.
3-1 or 2-1 makes no difference at all tbh. We should have had more emphasis on quick attacks at the end with people in the box to panic their defence.

I know what he means though. I think he is saying that we have had the cash to spend and at the moment look like it is something like Spurs post-Bale. Net spend or not, signings and selection of signings has been made.Originally posted by Nigey View PostIt's not. You're talking out of your ass.

Could hardly get the ball out of the half after that sub and none of our key players like Balotelli, Lallana and Sterling had any space to work in. Their movement dropped off too as a result.
