My feelings on this type of statement as articulated by the originator of the modern 4-2-3-1 in Issue 1 of the Blizzard:Originally posted by SimonNo7 View Post****, I must be so old school. There's only two stats that matter to me and they are: firstly the one at the end of the game that shows who scored the most goals and the second one follows on from that one, who got the most points...

The same process can have very different effects; and sometimes the same effects come from totally different 'causes'... The thing is, después del visto todo el mundo es listo: everyone's a genius after the event. I call them prophets of the past. Rafa wouldn't even write that down on the bog roll thinking about a game as he was having a dump.Originally posted by Lee View PostEverytime I see that board I have to read it about ten times in the hope that it's not genuine.
But it is genuine isn't it.

It has to be better than Michael Owen's brochure. It's longer, at least...Originally posted by baitman View Postthis booklet thing that Buck has presented to FSG as his "vision"

is it "self hype"
is it like the special one lite
just because you have seen spain train a bit, there is no magic wand that means you can replicate this. its all well and good having an "idealistic" view of how you want to play, but its a little different to actually implementing it.
not to mention a cold wet wednesday night in stoke...
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Bit harsh that , he has been a coach for twenty odd years and been over to Barcelona, Valencia and Sevilla plus a few over in Holland.Originally posted by baitman View Postis it "self hype"

I think its fair to say he is a student of the game and very meticulous in what he does_____________________________________

i dont mean to be critical, just saying that its a big leap from having an idea of what needs to be done, to getting the team to actually do it to a decent level.Originally posted by red g View PostBit harsh that , he has been a coach for twenty odd years and been over to Barcelona, Valencia and Sevilla plus a few over in Holland.

some of these lads pushing through the spanish system have been playing this way for 10-15 years by the time they make the first team.
i really do hope that things work out for us, but it may not be the instant success that some might think.removing all the weak links makes us stronger

So you're more bothered about all the other stats in a game over the final ones - the score and the points?Originally posted by dww View PostMy feelings on this type of statement as articulated by the originator of the modern 4-2-3-1 in Issue 1 of the Blizzard:
I personally couldn't care less if, at the end of a game, we had 30% total possession of the game, 1 shot on target or 25 shots on target as long as we won the game. Yes you may find links between certain stats but at the end of the day the team that scores the most goals gets the most points, and the team with the most points wins the league. Like I said, I'm probably old school and over simplify this game...
