I don't think it hurts to keep the media onside. When they turn against you, they can make life difficult. I mean, look at the job they did on Rafa. The guy won everything there was to win with us (bar the league obviously), and most fans think he's an awful manager.

I also don't think Dalglish did himself any favours either. You can get away with being a cunt to the media when you're winning, but when you start losing, the knives come out.

Hodgson is another example of how the media can spin things in your favour.

                    Play the game, Brendan

I was thinking the other day, Spain have had their critics recently for being boring. Swansea played in a similar way last season. Rodgers may be able to develop on that due to better players and being able to bring in better players, but the idea will be there, patient possession-based football.

Basically, if you didn't like watching Spain in the Euro's, you might have some problems watching us in the early months of the season.

Fine for Brendan to 'play the game', I just hope he does not become like Arry and we see interviews from his car as he leaves Melwood.

my worry is how long it takes until the players learn what is expected of them, and all contribute to the team work rate ethic.
lets hope it clicks into place soon rather than being painful and disjointed.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

I found Spain pretty "boring" up until the final, but that was as a neutral. If we were playing like that i'd be wetting myself every game. Literally.
