how interesting would that be?
can you imagine a chat about tactics between either BR or Rafa with bodge? that would be a cluster****
I'd like to see that too.
I feel confident that Rodgers (if backed by the board) will do a good job for us. I know we haven't really had the results and performances just yet, but given time I think we'll do well under him.

Another interesting point in that interview was that his new scouting team only start this month and he likes players who fit "the profile". He also said it's difficult to get big name players in the winter transfer window so I expect we will pick up a few more lesser known signings like Assaidi in January. There is a light that never goes out. RIP Alan "Mally" Johnston and the 96. YNWA.

Talk is cheap?...So all the quotes from Shankly is cheap?Originally posted by JohnDoe View PostTalk is cheap.
I take it you're all walk & less talk? so you wanna show us how it's done then?
My take on Brendan when he talks, he talks sense so the more he gets his message thru to our players, his messages will become the mantra! When it becomes the mantra, we all be following his word, his way, his mantra will become the liverpool way just as Shankly did when he started by getting everyone behind him.
Believe me, it will take time but I'm a fully paid up subscriber to Brendan's fan club as I know he will get us there, but not with the current team, only with own team so watch this space!
So come on, the less of the negative ffs...the weekend is approaching!Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

Shanks backed up his talk with results, but I agree with you. I find it hard to imagine that any Red could watch that and not be at the very least encouraged. Rodgers needs time and I think if given it then he too will come to back up his talk with results.Originally posted by Angryred View PostTalk is cheap?...So all the quotes from Shankly is cheap?

The only thing that matters is what happens on the pitch. Until I get a few months' impression of what Rodgers is trying to do with the team, getting enthusiastic over his words is wasted energy to me. The man is charismatic, I'll give him that, but whether he has what it takes to be a top manager remains to be seen. [Woy] Any fair minded observer would agree that this is a fair assessment [/Woy].

I get that, and obviously that is all that matters. It does remain to be seen, but surely the man gives you confidence that it can be achieved?Originally posted by JohnDoe View PostThe only thing that matters is what happens on the pitch.
