Brendan Plays all but 3/4 of Kenny's Signings (Downing, Henderson, Coates and Carroll, Bellamy) He plays the other 2 on a regular Basis Enrique and Suarez. He got Rid or Adam and Carroll and Bellamy left. But has talent to replace those from within the squad. Suso, Shelvey, Sterling.

8 Players that Kenny Had. That Brendan Has. Brendan has only integrated one of his signings into that team. Allen. I'd be surprised if any of the others actually manage to do any better then Downing, Henderson or Carroll over the course of this season ( Sahin, Borini, Ass-man).

The Squad is weaker then last season. The team is not that different. Kenny made a mistake in buying players that he thought were better then we had and used them to the detriment of the team. Not a Massive Massive mistake. Just something he could have learnt from, if given the chance.

If Brendan has a limited budget, he has to play kenny's players. He tried to keep maxi but decision was made. Kuyt, in fairness, was getting on a bit so we'd be better investing in youth than give him a 2 or 3 year contract.

Brendan's budget went on 2 first teamers plus a couple of prospects. Sahin is on loan and we were all made up at getting him given his pedigree.

borini and allen were playing every week. Sahin fairly regularly too and has put in some decent performances for us.

Assaidi looks a reasonable gamble for a squad player. I don't think any of us expect he'll be the next messi but then he is 1/5 the price of downing and probably on sod all wages... the other is a kid who'll play when he's settled I'm sure. Great record for a youngster so we'll see what happens there. What other striker on v low wages and 1m fee could we have got in?

Its not abuse to say kenny screwed things up. its just a fact that he blew astonishing amounts of cash which has caused us a major issue. I wish like hell he didnt but he did and BR is suffering the consequences.

If anything, BR really needs to lay off on the psychobabble bollox. Proper david brent style at times and its his biggest issue. its this more than anything he's done on the transfers/playing side that makes him come across as an imposter.

I think we've underperformed in a handful of games because we're taking more risks at the back due to changing the playing style and the same striking profligacy as under kenny.

A trophy in a competition where all the best teams play their reserves until the final, that we took penalties to win over a mediocre lower-division side. In the other final we were a complete shambles and were much worse than the final score indicated.

For the first time in my life I felt like we would probably lose before league games last season and we seemed to be heading inexorably downward.

This season the manager has put out a team with three teenagers many times, as the dross Dalglish signed are simply not good enough. But I now feel optimistic before most games and we've really only had possibly one very poor game - Arsenal at home - and through being on the wrong end of plain bad decisions by officials we have an appreciable number of points fewer than our play has merited. In other words we are in a false position and deserve to be higher.

One thing that's an absolute certainty is that we won't finish in our worst top flight position for 58 years, which is where Dalglish left us, with Rodgers having to try to clear up his mess

How do you know we won't finish 8th or below?. Rodgers is not the saviour you feel he is going to be. I haven't seen anything thus far that makes me think that Rodgers will move our club forward, but would be nice to be proved wrong. As for slating kenny off,that's wrong in many ways.

i think the point is that we still have the same problem as last season that hasn't been addressed and only exacerbated by BR & FSG.. 3 strikers leaving (2 of which were experienced in the role) and an uproven young striker being brought in.. So from being in a situation with enough to cover that department were left with 1 senior striker.. (thats known as a clusterf*ck by anyone's standards)

Whats annoying me is the constant contradictions coming from BR himself.. andy can go, andy can stay.. andy can go if someone else comes in.. oh crap i've got 2 strikers till january.. wait a minute make that 1 because my 21 yr old unproven at this level strikers out until the new year..

even a few weeks ago he stated that players would be brought in jan to "support suarez" now its there wont be any major business.. dont get me wrong i have no issue with picking up a player from a lower league on the cheap if he can do the job.. but these players a few and far between nowdays..

either BR himself doesn't know what business he can do in january through mis-communication by FSG or they are intentionally coming out with mixed signals.. im sorry but neither scenario fills me with any confidence in the management of the club i've supported for 32 years.. there needs to be accurate statement's that are then carried out coming from the club..

I think managing the under 10's has gone to your head.

We played very well for the most of that game. We had one error to concede the opener and conceded a second from a FK that shouldn't have been. We completely dominated the second half and if we had more than one player who could score it would have likely been a different outcome.
