He has said that, many times early on he mentioned we were making too many errors. We carried on making them anyway. Talk is cheap, I'd rather he said **** all and concentrated on picking the team based on form not reputation, give the defence some midfield protection too and then we might actually get some results.

If I was Brendan the most alarming, and ultimately most important point is the genuine lack of fight his players are showing for him. It looks to me like several have had enough and there is no commitment that he talks about.
Tomorrow will be very telling. Lose again like we did at palace then the writing is clearly on the wall, but if the players show some fight for their Manager he still has hope."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

Yup don't care what he says & wouldn't try to analyse it. It's a results business & he needs to start getting results...simple as.

Brendan is falling apart

“We have got resilience. Okay, we will sometimes concede more than we would like but I don’t think you can doubt the characterisation of this team. It can’t be criticised. We have got players here who have shown they have got courage and spirit.
“I’ve got a team full of characters, a team of courageous players, a team that is very committed, but is just low on confidence. That is something that we hope will improve.
“Whatever line of work you are in, if you don’t do it with confidence, you won’t do it quite as well as you would like. The job is to restore the confidence of the team and get results.”Last edited by Bender; 26-11-14, 09:06 AM.

Harsh and unfair.
What he has to do is try to rebuild spirit and he wont do that by slagging off his players. That's the polar opposite of what Hodgson does, just look at his recent treatment of Sterling as a prime example.
Having said that, what he said is tripe. Our players lack the sort of fight and spirit that teams in the lower half require. If they can't raise themselves when playing for a legendary side then there's something seriously wrong.

It looks like Rickie is thinking
"Borini upfront in the lone striker role, really?? I mean I know the fans have asked you to stop playing 1 up top but 0 up top is taking it a bit too far"Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Rodgers:'It (buying new players) is not something I am looking at. After the weekend, the focus was not to dwell on that. We have to learn from that and try and get a result here.
I just need to get us back to a level of confidence that allows you to perform. Losing can be the making of you.
You learn from it. That is what we are aiming to do.'
Rodgers' side was characterised last season by the intensity of their play, but that seems to have disappeared, and the former Swansea boss is intent on regaining that confidence.
When you don't have so much coaching time, it is mostly psychological what you are trying to achieve. If we focus on that too much there is no way we could play to our level.
'We need to make sure the training ground is a happy place to be. We have lost more than we would have liked. But the next game is an opportunity.
You try to affect the players in a positive way. Sometimes it just takes a game, an action to change a season for you. We have to believe that can happen.
We haven't been anywhere near our levels.
But you can never give up.
We have to believe that the honesty of the group will get us the results and that is what we will keep working towards.'

Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Bit of an odd thing to say. Its no less than other top sides get.
He might have been used to it last 2 seasons, but this is when it gets serious.
Too be honest though, most of his interviews are just him trying to fill silence with generic sentences like most other managers. Wouldn't read much into it.*Except Michael, who died.
