Speaking ahead of his side’s Capital One Cup quarter-final against Bournemouth, boss Rodgers suggested he would welcome a meeting of this kind.

“Within, we are very analytical of performance and analyse how we’re doing for constant improvement,” he said.
Does this include Rodgers' analysis of his own performance so far this season?

Regardless of signings, he could still do better with what he's got and play players who show form and drop those who continue to play poorly.

Lallana is decent enough, Lovren on paper was a great choice and IMO Lambert would be a perfect plan b if plan a was actually working.

Its gone to ****, but I do understand those signings.

oh yeah, don't get me wrong I can see the merit in each signing individually. They all made sense on paper. not sure what my point was

We did try to show some imagination last summer. Aspas, Alberto, Ilori, Cissokho, Sakho - too bad all of them turned out to be **** or unused by Brendan.

Can a ye fickle folk please delete your accounts when Rodgers is one of the best young managers around, again. Thanks.

Managers who stubbornly keep picking under performing players instead of changing them generally dont become best young managers.

                  Also Balotelli.

I agree, you can see why he would buy them in theory.

                    My gripe is this:

Rodgers seems to have picked the 3 first teamers, and the committee the 3 youngsters. Lets leave Balotelli out of it for now.

So if Rodgers big ambition was those 3 players, then he is just a mid table manager. He doesnt have the draw or pull to land big players, or the ambition. And his refusal to play Can etc isnt going to help us one bit, so for me he's already gone and everything else is just lip service.

I'm confused at why he doesn't play Lallana since he wanted him so badly. The lad has work rate and goal threat.

For £25m we should be getting better than decent enough in Lallana. He never seemed to be any better than what we already had in that part of the pitch and now he just looks like a very expensive squadie.

Not sure Lovren ever looked a great choice either, he was average to good last season and rubbish by all accounts the season before.

Lambert at that price I can understand. But if plan a was working than why do you need plan b?

I know it was only Bournemouth but his words after the game have given me more confidence in BR.

Said for the first time this season that against United he saw improvement in the play, he'd seen signs of improvement in the team for the first time really this season which acknowledges a change in formation/tactics was needed and he's recognised that.

Also said Sterling played with decent strikers last year and this year that clearly hasn't happened.

Yes he's left it late, perhaps too late but he has at least tried to mix things up a little these past few weeks. Still doesn't excuse him from playing Lovren on a regular basis though.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Starting Lallana & Markovic was a good call. Would have started Sakho as thought he needed the mins but sure fortunately Lovren got injured and he has chance to get some game time. New formation is tough on the wide men and uncomfortable on the CB's on times but it is very attacking with those players & fun to watch.

Rodgers got it right for the most part tonight IMO.

P.S. Jones does worry the living **** out of me though.
