At the moment, sticking with a Skrtel, Lovren partnership won't tell us anything more than we already know and another 90 minutes is not going to make them come good on Sunday.

lets hope if we get a bad result he doesn't come out and say he didn't have a lot of time on the training pitch to prepare for the EL because of the Premier League matches

It does kind of feel like Brendan is always leaving a few paths open for potential future excuses.

A lot of his quotes seem to be excuse orientated, which surely rubs off onto the players.

So tonight we have the 'rested players' excuse. Last week we had the 'lack of prep time' excuse. We are currently AGAIN getting the 'period of transition' excuse.

          Basically, enough with the excuses

Personally, I think Skrtel is a communication issue whatever but I'm viewing this very much from the outside.

In midfield I see your point more. Although I think it is reasonable to protect Lucas given his injury record and once you miss one element then the idea of tweaking the unit becomes less compelling.
the afore mentioned defensive partnership has been tried and its ****e....and we all know even if Sakho and Toure are rocks tonight they wont be getting in the first team anytime soon.

Whatever my thoughts on Rodgers not being the person for the role, I would never want us to lose. Not that it makes me a better fan or anything, but I would rather nature takes it's course (as it likely will in any case!)

                  My thoughts too

& no need to resort to calling him a cunt IMO - he's doing his best; it's just that it's no way near good enough. He's not being **** on purpose....

FSG ought to have binned him at the end of last season
What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

                  F*** off!!!

I too want him gone, i also believed he wasn't the right choice at the beginning but obviously got behind him and totally enjoyed that one season of beautiful football, but i also still believe he's doing his best and wants us to win more than anything else right now.

He's just not good enough at this moment in time. Not his fault really, his future is in other peoples hands, all he can do is carry on.

Totally understand that when you want something done; the longer it go's without that happening the more it grates and winds people up, but Brendan isn't the one making that decision, and i wouldn't expect him to resign.

The EL has a lot more going for it now, last year it was a really enjoyable competition. The idea of us "resting" players to me, is absolutely ridiculous and a bit cocky considering how **** we've been. We need a strong team vs Bordeaux, their decent. The club and especially Rodgers need a win tonight, be interesting to see what the line up is.

Believe me, its with heavy heart i want us to lose, but I've properly done my arse with him. He needs to go and he needs to go now. Not in 10-20 games by which time our season will be well and truly ****ed.

One thing I don't get is that Payet at West Ham and Ayew for Swansea turn up and hit the ground running for their respective new teams ,

But our new forwrd thinking signings look totally out of sorts and have had no form at all on the pitch. IS it always to do with signing for a bigger club or just how we integrate them all and confuse them with being able to play in multiple positions.

Seems we have done it with Markovic and Lallana last year seeing them at wing backs putting effort in and looking average and last week with Ings and Firmino playing wide.

Ever since Suarez left the manager seems unwilling to play two strikers up top when everyone on here can see that it should benefit the team.

Still think the managers way out is to press teams in their half because this turgid football at the back with Mig being involved is never getting us anywhere.

Payet and Ayew would probably be shell shocked by now, much along the same lines as Markovic and Firmino
