Ok here my view on it. if not been happy with rafa in his last year in charge at liverpool, he made mistakes with his tactics, but worst of all he didn't have the courage/imagination/what ever to chage or alter his **** tactics.

However he was always(every manager would have) going to struggle at inter after the season they had. Mind you that is not the best squad in europe when it comes down to it. they had defensive tactiscs all through out last season, and it's hard to change the mindset of the squad in such a short time, and the injury problems they've had didn't help at all.

Plus morratti has always been known to throw huge amounts of money at his managers disposal so why didn't he do the same for Rafa is beyond me.

it's tempting so think rafa could be back, but i'm not sure that'd be the best idea. however how many other top managers are there avaliable, and there's always the risk of them not adapting to the PL.

Benitez either got told to merge youth players and experineced players and manage on a budget or he got he would have a big budget to sign 4 players. One or the other did happen, if it was the latter he may have been made false promisies. Regardless of what he got told its seems he was not happy either way. The 2 year short contract does seem awfully short for a top draw manager thou. So you could have a point about a manager being appointed to please the fans

Yeah seem to recall him writing other tabloidesque horse**** maybe even about us before.

But... the football world doesn't seem to be overly populated with greatly analytical minds that can see beyond the obvious - cf our own incumbent's standing - so one way or the other Lawton is probably right about how Rafa is perceived as an excuse-making, arrogant, argumentative neurot. I really agree with those of here who say that taking the inter job was the stupidest single thing Rafa did and it was obvious from the beginning that it would end badly for him. That's egotism for you though.
