Officially confirmed now, that he has left Inter 'by mutual consent'.

I don't know if he entirely engineered it. I'm sure he knew what he was doing when he gave the ultimatum to Moratti. Maybe it was a deliberately high risk strategy - either give me a lot of money to spend (because I won't be able to win without it) or sack me (meaning I don't sit around here failing because of a lack of cash).

Having said that, it's also entirely plausible he knew Moratti wouldn't give him a sizeable transfer budget so deliberately asked for the impossible in which case Shaggy and you would be quite right in saying he engineered his dismissal (and payoff).

If it's true his family weren't happy in Milan then there is more reason to believe your theory.

But it's not like we can really ever hope to know for sure either way.

God, yeah. Dreadful man, boring writer.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

True, but maybe we should give Perkins a break? It is Christmas

I was wondering if Dan Perkins is or was a regular contributor to 6CM.

I, for one, won't believe it until we hear Mourhinio's opinion.
I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.

Time for the man to come back to where he belongs.

Anyone think Rafa has been petulant again?

His remit is to manage the team within the budget and resources made available to him, just like everybody else in the real world.

He didn't get what he wanted, again, and threw his toys of the pram, again.
                        Oh I don't know.

I def think Rafa coming out with the tea to sky outside his place was a big PR stunt to let Lfc know he's available settling in Liverpool, or there's the slimmest of chances he's had prior conversations with the owners - J W always tells us just how hard they are working behind the scenes.

With Sky now showing the tea footage again (now he's been sacked), I noticed he's wearing an 'adidas' jacket. Inter are sponsored by nike so you can draw your own conclusions. But he could have worn any jacket without a brand but he chose to wear an adidas one...?

Your too good to be true, can't take the ball off you you got a heavenly touch, you pass like Sounness to rush. And when we're pissed in the bars we thank the Lord that your ours

I don't see it like that. As I said earlier, either he was angling to improve his position, capitalising his success in the World Club Championship and apparent support of Inter fans, or he wanted out (for whatever reason).

It may have been a gamble that he ended up losing or it may have been Machiavellian but I don't think it was driven by petulance.
