I suppose going out the domestic cups in the fourth round probably helped too. Anyway, it was 11 draws that cost us most (although boro doing the double over us didn't help). We were great against the big teams but not against the lower ones (the reason I'm not convinced Rafa would have won the league even with more backing). That was the reason you gave too wasn't it?

If he had the kind of backing that equates to nearly £100m (gross) worth of spending, he would've signed players like Aguero, Silva etc...so i do think he would win the league with this kind of backing.

Don't we all I was watching that now, Rafa just always says the right thing, respectful to everybody and so underrated as a manager and a person. I kind of wish he was still here, even though I'm chuffed with Kenny.
