I did the Anfield tour a couple of weeks back and in the director's/vip lounge area (or the one with the bar in the corner) there are loads of photos and mosaics of Liverpool managers throughout the years - yet not one of Benitez.

Someone asked "No Benitez?" and the tour guide said "Yeah, there should be though shouldn't there? Gave us the best night of our lives" and left it at thatOriginally posted by Lee View PostAm I correct in saying that Hodgson had a load of Benitez related things removed? Or a lot of Benitez pictures etc were disposed of shortly after he left?
Sure I read something last year mentioning that.Substance > Style

Think it was Purslow et al who got rid of it all. It's a disgrace, no matter how hard certain cunts try, he will never be airbrushed out of our history.Originally posted by Lee View PostAm I correct in saying that Hodgson had a load of Benitez related things removed? That's it - Purslow.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostThink it was Purslow et al who got rid of it all. It's a disgrace, no matter how hard certain cunts try, he will never be airbrushed out of our history.
I'm sure it was on a forum (possibly here) that virtually every trace of Benitez behind the scenes was removed when he left. And you're right, it's absolutely ****ing disgraceful.
I could understand if he was a cunt, but the guy is class. It's likely to have happened around the same time as him donating the £96k to the HJC.

IF IF IF Rafa goes to chelski to manage them then i would never tale him back.
he wants a return to english football at a team where he has a chance of challenging ....... well thats all of our rivals. if he manages any of them i never want him back - tainted goods.
if he is willing to drop his amibitions and takes a job with a sunderland, west brom, stoke club then i would in the distant future be willing to accept him back.People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

Really? You cant begrudge a man taking a top job. He's just a football manager wanting to work. You cant expect him to take a ****ty job just because he might get offered the Liverpool job in 1, 5 or 15 years.Originally posted by the rev leeroy brown View PostIF IF IF Rafa goes to chelski to manage them then i would never tale him back.

Ridiculous. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

no i cant. you're right. However, my personal opinion i wouldnt want him back if he manages one of spurs, chelsea, arsenal, united, city. I see these teams as our rivals. The other way around (manges one of these teams first then come to us ) no problems. But to go from us to them and back would be too much for me.Originally posted by Chris View PostReally?
