It's a ****ing awesome front six. I think we were nailed on for Silva if we'd had any money, Rafa was always after him due mainly to Eduardo Macia, who had a close relationship with Silva. Scouted him at a young age I think. We were frontrunners for sure but Rafa was hamstrung.

Don't want to piss on any parade but Masch & Alonso would always have been clearing off back to Spain. They weren't saying no to the big boys in Spain. The replacements probably would have been better right enough.

I thought that that was the portugese winger whose name escapes me. Ended up going to Italy (i think) but didn't shine?

I think the only questionable players in that eleven is the central defenders. I think the rest of it is more or less the way he wanted it.

Aye, we actually went for Vidic didn't we, but got gazumped (again) by the Mancs. I wouldn't include him though as that sort of thing happens all the time in the transfer market.

I think every manager in europe wanted Aguero. So I wouldnt include him. Plus at the time wasnt Evra already at Utd. So no chance of than happening either.
