I do like rafa but if he goes to Chelsea i certainly don't want him to be successful there. They may not be a direct rival at the moment, but rivalling the current top teams has to be what we are aiming for.

The thing is we've had the chance to offer Rafa the job TWICE and he's been available and willing yet we overlooked him and we're now giving an unproven manager a go.

I don't think FSG give a ****. They've employed 3 managers, none of which had the resources or even the ambition to make us title challengers.

FSG have primed us to accept mid table/Europa obscurity.

They've employed 2 managers, one of which was down to enormous fan demand and you can't say that Kenny wasn't backed in the transfer market.

Would Rafa really working under an owner who's known to interfere on transfer targets and even team selection? I thought this was something he was vehemently against. If he does join them I can't see it working.

It's definitely not ideal, and it could quite easily end badly. He just has no other choices at the level he wants, and it's reached a point now where he has to get back into the game. I don't like it, it's definitely not ideal but I can completely see why he's going for it.

The British press have done such a good hatchet job on Rafa that he must see this as the only way back in, regardless of the fact that it may only be untill the end of the season!
