McDermotX must be a figment of my imagination then.

There's a big difference between accepting that he wants the job (which I don't blame him for), and wanting Chelsea to do well. The latter is too much to ask for some people, including myself. He could go and manage Man Utd, doesn't mean I want them to do well, hence people would prefer he'd manage another club based purely on emotion, but I wouldn't blame him, or lose any respect for him.

Think he will struggle winning the fans over and the media will already be writing his obituary but fair play to him if he takes the job.

          He's not even close.

          Anyway, enough of this stalking.
          Oh I don't know.

i want rafa to do well i will just blank out that the chavs are doing well.

i have no real feelings against chelsea as a club. i dont like their players (the usual suspects) hated maureen. but as a club they were like maybe wedsneday a club who have a decent enough domestic support but only feature because we play them.

obviously the clean money pumped into them has raised their profile but to me they are nothings

so it doesnt bother me. i am more worried about his ability to make a short term impact and what will it do to his reputation.

Man United are our rivals. Hated rivals. Chelsea aren't. I don't like them but it's nothing like taking the Utd job. Nothing at all.

Can't hold it against him if he takes it. He is a top manager and wants a job. He was desperate to come back but the owners messed up by not even interviewing him. As much as I like Brenden, I think Raga would have done a better job

Well, Rafa has been wanted by the Champions League winners 2010 and the Champions League winners 2012. But apparently he wasn't good enough to even be considered by the owners of mid-table Liverpool FC in 2012. Some might see that as negligent. He was free of charge and wanted the job - so the owners will IMO certainly have questions to answer if Rafa does well at Chelsea.

Because we could have had Rafa back and chose a young unproven manager.
