What a joke of a club.
Barely 8 months in charge, 2 trophies won, including the one trophy that Abramovic has been desperate for, 100m spent in the summer and then he gets sacked after one poor run of form!!
Re - Rafa. Can't really blame him if he takes the job, he's been out of work for far too long.

Devastating if Rafa goes there, surely he wont though will he?
Pep to be appointed in the summer regardless, Jose up to his old tricks with 'his' players, the fans hate him, the press hates him - he'll be absolutley slaughtered.
Be far worse than taking the Inter job which was a crap decision itself.
DON'T DO IT RAFA!

At least the Scum would at least be challenged for the title with Rafa in charge... One major positive if it happensOriginally posted by rcasemore View PostI can't think of many places worse than there for me to see him work at.
I understand why he'd go for it but urghhhhhhhhhhhhhhLast edited by Nick77; 21-11-12, 11:03 AM.Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

I think they really lack anything solid in midfield or central defence at the minute. If you have a highly mobile front 4 you can't have Ramires running all over the show and Mikel wandering off at random as your midfield base. The squad as is seems pretty poorly suited to how Rafa plays but would be quickly changed in a transfer window I suspect.Originally posted by barnes10 View Posttaking up the job this year is hugely different to last season. Chelsea have a much better team this season. They have revamped the midfield so why not have a crack with those guys. He could win them the title with that squad. And, just maybe, get a lot more out of torres.
I think its a great move for them both tbh. If rafa wins them the title then do they need guardiola next season?"The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Basically he'll just need one maybe two tactically disciplined midfielders to play the holding role. I think he'll probably be able to improve some of what's there to be sufficiently good. He's got some truly great attacking flair at his disposal.much better than what he coaxed out of even our best lineup.
anyway, he's not joined them yet but we'll see.

The thing is that Moyes IS a good manager. The qualification is that he has shown himself to be better when working with limited budgets and didn't step up when given a chance at European level. Obviously having shown nothing to deserve a top job he'll still be at Everton when he retires. If he was English one day he would get the chance of being England manager."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."
