Not surprised that he was aware of Mourinho's successor. Anyway, he can have his opinion without being called a ****house just because he doesn't like Benitez.
I wasn't calling him a ****house because he dislikes Benitez. More the fact that he's talking ****, he used to play for Everton, he called Zidane's sister a whore, and he was generally a dirty ******* on the pitch.

i happen to think Rafa is one of the best managers in the world. up there maybe better with the awful one at RM (who i wouldnt want anywhere near our club).

i back rodgers but secretly inside i wish Rafa was ourmanager

how ever it does look like if anyone says anything negative about him then he is wrong.

he was is and always will be far from perfect.

maybe he wasnt any good for MM (mm was **** so who cares) but you just get the feeling on here that not a negative word can be said about Rafa.

if, and i hope to god he does, brendan doesnt achieve what we all want and gets us winning the big trophies with tikitakitakatikkasexyfutbol then i would only want rafa back.

fsg'd have tried 2 approaches that hadn't worked out so why not go to someone who has a vision and the ability to implement it at the highest level, proven success with us and the prem. We all know if he was backed in 09 we'd have been laughing. give him the control he needs to implement his vision and leave him to it. back him for a few seasons and watch him turn us into a machine again.

anyway, moot point as long as Brendan can work some magic with us. Happy with the current boss and how we seem to be evolving. Really like his vision and his age means we ought to be set up for a dynasty of enjoyable and football if it all goes more or less to plan. whats not to like?

It's the injustice of it that pisses me off. He was continuously attacked from outside either from constant sniping from people who know nothing (I mean, Steve Rider for ****'s sake having a pop over resting Torres, wtf), the negative spin on every ****ing story etc, and when he needed support from within the club they were too busy fighting amongst themselves. He shouldn't have been sacked and whatever Broughton and Purslow did business-wise they seriously ****ed-up on the football side. Half of our current strongest 11 were Rafa signings and he has been gone for three years!

Broughton had nothing to do with it. All he did was sign the papers.

You seriously think our chairman had no input into the decision to sack the manager?

Minimal if any I'd have thought. He was there with only one goal in mind. Purslow was supposed to look after the running of the club.

I know it's from Talk****e but could this really happen, I would have thought Redknapp would be favourite for the job...

Former Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has emerged as a shock candidate to replace Mark Hughes at QPR.

Hughes, who saved QPR from relegation on the last day of last season after replacing Neil Warnock in January, has presided over a woeful start to the current campaign and is facing intense speculation over his future at Loftus Road.

QPR's 3-1 defeat to Southampton on Saturday extended their winless start to the season to 12 games and left them rooted to the bottom of the table.

Harry Redknapp has emerged as an early front-runner to take over if Hughes is sacked but sources in France claim senior QPR officials have targeted Benitez to replace the Welshman.

The Spaniard, who led Liverpool to Champions League and FA Cup glory during his six-year spell at Anfield, has been out of work since leaving Inter Milan in 2010.

Rafa apparently pulled out of a conference in Doha at the weekend as he's been approached to take over somewhere.

Would love to see Rafa back in a job somewhere. Have given up on him coming back here so I think the QPR job would be good for him; he can also renew his rivalry with the Chavs.

Would have thought he'd be far more interested in a team that can make a realistic challenge for honours - unless of course he thinks that by spending Fernandes' money he would be joining a club that can.

I'd ****ing hate to see him go to that rabble.

A huge bunch of second-rate players that are way past their best and on massive salaries. He'd be on a hiding to nothing. **** that.
