on the first part: No it's not directly linked, it's more pointing out the irony that some are asking back a manager that twice left us outside top-4, on the basis that our current manager might do the same and that being the succes criteria for an LFC manager (apparently) - or is the irony totally lost?

Of course Kenny have to take responsibility for his actions and results, and so far I havn't seen him make up any excuses for what he has achieved so far. IMO, and I know you don't share that view, I think it's more down to unrealistic fan-expectations for what could be achieved over a summer-transfer window, rather than us being in a dissapointing situation right now. And that view is often hold in a comparison to our opponents being static, while they in reality have been far more active than we have! I never expected us to do any more than push for fourth and perhaps doing well in a domestic cup, som I'm fairly happy. Play wise I think we have taken many steps forward except for our finishing.

And btw. we still have a good chance of finishing fourth if we start taking our chances.

We do, but I think we need to be much more intelligent in terms of the type of chances we create, we need to make much better ones.

Champions league qualification, you can go back and check my posts on the subject too, I said it was a minimum requirement but I thought we didn't bring in the right quality to achieve that.

It's alright mate, I believe you - it was the reason I asked, just to understand what your expectations of the season were.

I expected more of a transition and hoped we would qualify for the Champions League, but understood if we just fell short as long as we had put up a fight. Let's face it, we're still in with a shout of it too.

A decent cup 'run' was another on my list, so a cup final (and potentially another) is nice too. Our level of expectation is different, so it's obvious our opinions on this season will too - perhaps it's best looked at, at the end of the season.

No, I said so far it hasn't been good enough I think we lack the quality to achieve 4th imo though.

Not really no, happy with our cup performance, I do not think our league performance has been good enough though.

For me, a mixture of both. I at times don't think we have used our best options, but far too many of our new signings are simply not good enough to play for us.

I had expectations of us being in a better position this year at the end of last season. Right now though I lack confidence in us to put together a run that will take us into CL qualification. I would dearly love us to do better, but I'm very worried we lack the quality to overhaul either a very average Arsenal or Chelsea.

And I said that I thought CL was the minimum requirement after the summer transfers, however, I was not expecting it (I expected 5th/6th). That ,in my eyes, is not good enough and my concern was compounded by us failing to bring anyone in during January.

No, I am saying it is not good enough so far. I then said that I don't have confidence in us improving enough to change that.

We are in contention, but as of yet, we haven't shown any were near enough to suggest we are likely to get it, we are playing catch up, we can't string wins together and we look impotent at home.

So, no what I said I want in August is still what I want, no matter how much you try to twist it. Sorry that actually reading is too complicated for you, but then again you have always shown tabloid tendancies when you disagree with someone so it is no surprise. So unless you can make a point about what I actually have said, do one.
