Thanjk you.

I'd love Rafa to come back as manager - he's been the best we've had since Kenny first time around and arguably since Paisley.
However, I just can't see it happening (at least not for several years) because:
I think its fairly obvious that Gerrard and Carragher were, at least in part, involved in getting Rafa the boot.
Ayre was also involved in the decision, even if just by association.
There's no way IMO that Rafa could or would work with a Commolli figure working on transfers.
Bizarrely some of our 'support' don't rate the guy that made us great again and it would cause more division in the ranks.
The media's hatred of Rafa and not giving good copy. Like it or lump it the media has a ridiculous amount of power in the game and the majority of the journo clique in this country(maybe even including Jenkins) hate Rafa.
I've wondered recently..judging how **** Chelsea, Arsenal, and to a point United are now, would Rafa have won the title if he was in charge now? Or is it more a case of the rest of the league improving. I don't know.
Can't help but think he'd hand a lot of these guys their arses on a plate to them tactically
I agree, and with masses of respect to Kenny I think Rafa is probably the better manager.
But, there is no chance of it happening now, because of all the things that Rich posted, and possibly more.
The good thing is that we have these issues with a Liverpool legend at the helm who has the very real possibility of qualifying for the CL this season, and not some div like Hodgson.

The fact that such a poor Manure side is challenging shows the league has in fact declined imo...
on the first part: No it's not directly linked, it's more pointing out the irony that some are asking back a manager that twice left us outside top-4, on the basis that our current manager might do the same and that being the succes criteria for an LFC manager (apparently) - or is the irony totally lost?
Of course Kenny have to take responsibility for his actions and results, and so far I havn't seen him make up any excuses for what he has achieved so far. IMO, and I know you don't share that view, I think it's more down to unrealistic fan-expectations for what could be achieved over a summer-transfer window, rather than us being in a dissapointing situation right now. And that view is often hold in a comparison to our opponents being static, while they in reality have been far more active than we have! I never expected us to do any more than push for fourth and perhaps doing well in a domestic cup, som I'm fairly happy. Play wise I think we have taken many steps forward except for our finishing.
And btw. we still have a good chance of finishing fourth if we start taking our chances.
Well, technically the criteria is surely just to qualify for CL which Rafa did every year, bar his last.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
