Odds on favourite for the West Ham job.

    ****ing hell.

He's miles better than that ffs. The only crumb of comfort would be him elbowing that prick Allardyce out. Fat Sam would hate that. Perhaps he could phone Fergie up and they can invent something and gang up on him again.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

We should sound him out as director of football.

someone who loves the club and the city. He would have a more controlled role, away from the spotlight and the bitching of the paps.

      youth set up.
      player scouting and recruitment.
Oversee the team structure and advise consult with coaches/head coach.
      stability.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

He's a manager. And no we shouldnt even if we wanted to, one bad result under whoever our current manager is and people in the ground would be calling for him. I dont know why this scenario keeps getting brought up, it is a horrific idea.

Good call. But problem is would he want away from management, would his ability to step in hang over the manager, and would the fans muddy it further.

Think Westham could start making a bit of a dent in the Top 7 soon.

Good manager behind them and moving into a large stadium. They will want to fill it every game. Bigger crowd will attract better players too.

If you by top-7 mean they will finish 7th then yeah, but I honestly can't see them moving any further than that unless they do a Chelsea/City type takeover. They can out Southampton as they are reliant on doing clever business, but even with a bigger stadium they are miles away from anyone else above them IMO.

Not like having a large stadium have done much for Newcastle to take an example from the PL...

Yeah, not challanging at the moment. But they will be fighting with Southampton, Swansea, Everton and Spurs in that second group outside the top 5 or so I think.

If he goes to West Ham I think it is an good indication of how much his stock, rightly or wrongly, has fallen.

Would be a big risk for him imho as he would be expected to do better than the last four or five managers that came before him there, and any failure to do that could see it become even harder for him to appear an attractive option for a bigger club.

Interesting end to the season for Rafa after last nights win.

3 points behind Lazio, but much worse GD. 4 points behind Roma and 3 goals worse off.

                      Last fixtures:

                      Juventus - Napoli
                      Lazio - Roma

                      Roma - Palermo
                      Napoli - Lazio

So basically it can all be done by next weekend if Napoli don't manage to win at Juve. They have nothing left to play for, but are by far the best team in Serie A. Then there is Lazio at home that are playing well, but they have to beat them with all likelyhood.

Roma are looking good having to just beat mid table Palermo with nothing to play for.

Lazio have though run as well, but could get CL with just a draw against Napoli.

To me it looks like Rafa & co will miss out this year.

Could be i suppose. Or it could just be the biggest club in England available, and he wants to be in England, where Jose Montse is.

There is a good chance that Man City will have a vacancy come the end of the month

                            City would never hire him.

Yeah but if they don't actually want him they aren't available.

Which goes back to my point about what level of club his apparent stock currently attracts.
