I think he would work within a system that was honest. I think the problem has been in the past that part of the 'director of football' type position has been to allow owners to lie to the manager. If we have a system setup to build long term with genuine lines of communication (as seems to have long been the case at the likes of Arsenal) then I feel he would be okay.

Ultimate power when the alternative is power in the hands of incompetents at best and G&H at worst must seem like a must have option.

The squad issue is much more of a problem. That said you wonder how much seeing the **** state of things under Roy might make Rafa look a better option.

Arsenal have spent, but nowhere near as much as. Their net spend since the premier league started has been something like £2 million a year. Ours has been been over £11m.

          Can't disagree with that.

I thought his was about Rafa's spending. Not LFC since 1993
Rafa has spent and finished above Arsenal and won more titles in same period since he joined. He was spent more money. The fact is underlined spend and win......eventually

No you have completely missed the point. Arn said that Rafa want's something similar to Arsenal regime and not the Chelsea/Man City way. I was not comparing Arsenal to the time Rafa spent at Liverpool. My point was looking at Arsenal's regime as a whole since (i.e. before Rafa joined). My point was, Arsenal have not spent a great deal.

i wonder, if rafa has indeed been sacked, if fat sam allardyce will get the chance to take over from him at inter and prove his quote of "give me inter, barca or real and i would win the league over and over" to be true

We would all be better off with Mourinho. He is a cunt but a winner.

No way. I've never been a Rafa lover or a Mourinho lover. I think Mourinho is a cunt, but there's no denying he's a winner, he lacks class, but we can as a club instill that within him. There's plenty here who would love Mourinho. Given the choice between Mourinho or Rafa on this forum. I would say at least 40% would have Mourinho. 50% Rafa and 10% neither or someone else
