Skrtel looks a lot better when he goes to war with a player like Costa tonight for example, when he gets fired up he looks a different player, I also think he looks a hell of lot better without Lovren, when he came on as a sub a couple of weeks ago it was noticeable how everyone around him seemed to panic.

I'd give Lovren a go. Think it's only fair he gets a chance in the current set up, if he cant perform then he obviously has to go at the end of the season. Mig and Skrtel have improved massively in recent weeks so hopefully he could too. Reckon Godgers wants the best ball players either side of Marty though so will probably be Glen again.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I actually agree with Chris. I'd like to see Lovren perform in this formation with Lucas in front of him and confidence in the squad high.

So, was it the injury that caused him to fluff his final pass then, before his withdrawal? If so, then barring THAT pass to Lucas, he had a pretty rock solid game!

There was also that one where he tried to go square across the defence from left to right and connected low and flat which was intercepted, but we recovered well. But I don't care; I love Sakho zipping the ball out and Can going through the gears from back to front.

Nope.......was just a poor pass. I don't think there's much to be gained trying to find rhyme or reason, because we could be here trying to justify errors for every player.
He was caught out a couple of times by Costa when he drifted outside, but showed how good a player he is when dealing with Willian on more than one occasion.
I don't think he gets the same level of protection as Can gets on the other side, and its something that Moreno needs to improve on IMO, as even though its cool to see him sprinting out to the flank, I don't think it should be happening quite as often as it does. Regularly looks more clued in to the danger than his wingman.

Overall he had a decent couple of ties against Chelsea bar one or two rickets, and you'd hope this injury is nothing major as the three lads at the back have been improving game on game.

Moreno definitely doesn't give Sakho the protection that Can gets... said this previously he goes walkabouts. It's a tough position for a big man like Sakho to play in, especially chasing after likes of Willian etc.

Seems to have a few hairy moments with his passing. The stats are in his favour but he does dwell on the ball on times. Still though he's done very well in this new set up & will be sorely missed.

Hopefully the injury isn't too bad.
