Obviously next season will define his career at Liverpool, but I just dont see it with Lallana. He is a neat and tidy player with very good technique, Cryuff turns and all are nice on the eye, but I cannot see him bring a lot in terms of goals and assists and threats. I think he will end up being a good addition to the squad but not to the first team.

For the money spent on him ( not his fault, I know) you expect him to help us get to the next level which I dont think he will.

Dunno the stats at the moment but - until very recently at least - Lallana is more effective, in terms of goals/assists per minute, than Coutinho.

I know....stats can be very misleading, he's obviously not as good a player as Coutinho, and he does need to improve his output, but...y'know. We'll see next season.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

You could lay that at the feet of many of our attacking players over the last few games

Coutinho gets a little bit of a leeway as he is 22? years old and still some way from his prime. If he was pulling in similar number of goals/assists in 4 years time we would all be disappointed.

Lallana maybe have better stats but it is still disappointing. Again, I can understand that moving clubs can have an effect on a player, the injuries and the lack of a proper goalscoring center forward has not helped. I also understand that forming strong opinion a player in his debut season at Liverpool is a bit unfair.

Maybe I am being overly pessimistic, but I just dont see him improving significantly next season. I think he will be a good addition to the squad, but definitely not someone worth 20 million plus.

the lad is either injured or getting over an injury how many times has he had to go off injured this season? by my estimate it must be at least half a dozen times

is it official. is he a crock.

there is no doubting he is quite a skilful player but how often are we going to get a game out of him.

it seems he has been quite injury prone. are his injuries recurring problems. is this vaf's fault...
groin/pelvis and knee issues at saints, and since arriving. this lad will never be 'fully fit'

When he is fully fit what is his role in the team?

Rodgers really wanted him last summer so he must have had some sort of idea!

Same as Coutinho I think. And the same as what is arguably sterling's best position.

Which is also the same as Markovic's best position, apparently.

Last summer we essentially spent nearly £50m on a position where we already had good options when everyone was fit. It was about improving the squad, Moses & Alberto out, in came Lallana & Markovic.

Issue was striker wise it was essentially Suarez & Aspas out and Balotelli & Borini in. Thrown in with the Sturridge injury it cut our throats. I think everyone accepts that.

Brendog wants to play with 3 false number 9s to confuse the enemy (and us) a lone striker, 2 defensive midfielders and a back 4 which is actually a back 2 with 2 raiding fullbacks giving width.

                            Used to be called, 4-2-3-1.
