He's always seemed a decent player and he works hard, but in his time here some far I have always felt that too much of the good stuff has been done defensively, working hard and tracking back, and not enough in a creative sense which is presumably what we signed him for. I'm not sure if his fitness isn't quite there because he's been injured for much of his time here or that he does so much running that he hasn't got anything left when he gets into the final third.

Technically excellent, works hard and he did some great work in defensive areas yesterday, but yeah we bought him to score goals and makes assists... that area of his game has been disappointing.

its a common factor. we have seen a few of these.
players need to have a clean shave or be able to grow a proper full face 3-5 day stubble. all these wannabe pot heads with a bumfluff goatee want dragging to a barbers to have their face peeled off.

He is a good player, and that's exactly why the 'hard time' he gets is not unnecessary - because people expect him to show it more often. Of course the high transfer fee isn't his fault, but it doesn't help when he puts in so many watered down displays where you can't even tell he's on the pitch sometimes. My main grief with him is that everything he does looks so soft - blocked shots, blocked crosses, under-hit passes, mellow dribbles where he gets muscled off the ball too easily... Yesterday was much better, although he presented absolutely no attacking threat he still showed promise and when he starts doing it more often the people will get off his back too.

lallana did really well. I was really impressed with him and i hope he continues to do that. I was worried because he has beeb consistently slowing our game down but maybe he was just playing to the previous managers instructions. Brendan rodgered him and then he became rodgerised and ****.

I just can't get into Lallana at all. He seemed to make bad decisions every time he was given the opportunity to do something going forward, be it the wrong pass, checking back for more time or just belting a cross into a defender. On top of the underhit pass to Skrtel that set Harry Kane off through on goal, I thought all he brought to the table was a bit more running than usual. Running around more is the very least you can expect from an athlete - also if he didn't waste his energy flouncing about throwing shapes whenever he cuts back on himself, he might have a bit more energy to last a full 90 minutes.

My hope is that someone, somewhere will take him off our hands and someone more decisive and clinical comes in. He's the epitomy of the Rodgers beige footballer we're now pretty much lumbered with.

I think yesterday everyone looked to be concentrating on running, pressing and getting into position. Everyone looked shattered and frequently incapable of making good decisions when in possession, not just Lallana. I think he has more to offer but along with a lot of our players we need to see what he can do in a well set up team.

He has some lovely touches but a tendency to take one too many. I think that has looked a lot worse when we have had a disjointed team. The one thing that was clear from the Spurs game was that we will be looking to be a more compact and connected team in future.

Not sure that holds - are you saying It was fatigue that compromised his decisions? Because some of the glaring mistakes he made were early on in the game. If he was out of puff that early in the game, he's got serious issues.
