Lallana can look be very good, but it is all too inconsistent. Too often his touch and control are poor and he is often wasteful.
I agree he's inconsistent, but surely his touch and control are his best assets? His pace maybe lets him down, but when on form I don't think it's much of an issue.
Equally, he's probably one of our most efficient attackers in terms of goals/assists per game, so I'm not sure if it's fair to call him wasteful either, certainly in comparison to his teammates.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
"I broke my foot. In a tackle - at Liverpool. Steven Gerrard stood on my foot. Gerrard was wearing those new bladed boots, and I'm convinced they did the damage. I carried on playing but it was sore -very sore.
I was tackled again later, by Luis García, and I limped away from that one, so people often think it was García who caused the injury. But it was Gerrard and his blades. I went off with a few minutes to go.
Liverpool have an X-ray machine right next to the dressing room, so they X-rayed my foot and came back straight away with the news; I'd broken it in - I don't know - five or six places. So that was me out injured again. I remember thinking to myself in the dressing room, ‘This is bad timing.' For all sorts of reasons."
I thought Lallana was horrific in the first half vs Bordeaux but much better in the second. Very contrasting performances in each half. I do like Lallana and was delighted we signed him but IMO all in all he's been very disappointing. The talent is there but we just don't see it enough.

Oh, so he Keane is covering his pussy arse cos he doesn't wan people to think that then. Or at the very worst Luis ****ted him when he was injured- good enough for me.

Luis.
Exactly my thinking, I'd be very keen to say it was Gerrard rather than Luis Garcia if it was me !

When he is playing well his control is good, but it is far too inconsistant. Too often his touch is loose and the ball is kept under close control.
Lallana is a very frustrating player, he clearly has a lot of ability and sometimes he's technically amazing, but he just doesn't contribute enough. He's either inconsistent or injured... he has had a very stop start career at LFC.
Would be great if he finally kicked on and found some consistency and a spell without injury.

That's what I think. He holds onto the ball too long would be my major criticism. He has the skills but doesn't seem to have the confidence to execute often enough (or maybe he lacks the vision to know what is on early enough).

Common theme for our team is we hold the ball for too long. Anyone would think they don't train together.
Yeah no flow to our play, lethargic and stagnated. We are lacking pace in the midfield though. Lallana has a great touch but can be very slow to release and isn't exactly Usain Bolt either.
Jurgen Klopp: Adam Lallana excited about new Liverpool manager - but admits Rodgers disappointment
Midfielder, who was signed by Rodgers, is ready to play under new Liverpool boss
Adam Lallana admits he was disappointed to see Brendan Rodgers leave Liverpool, but the midfielder is excited for the future under new Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.
Lallana was signed by Rodgers in the summer of 2014 for £25m, and made 31 league appearances under the Northern Irishman.
The 27-year-old suffered an inconsistent first season at the club, but is now ready to impress the new boss.
The former Southampton star watched Klopp’s first press conference on Friday, and is excited for what is to follow.
“I am excited, very excited, to work with the new manager,” he said.
“I saw the press conference and, like everyone at the press conference and the reaction he is getting, it is going to be exciting.
“I have obviously got one more game with England and I am fully focused on it, but I am excited to get back to the club afterwards.”
On Rodgers’ dismissal, as well as his own frustrations with injuries, he added: “Of course it is a big season, last year was frustrating.
“Even the beginning of this season was frustrating, picking up yet again another injury.
“I am working really hard to keep fit because I feel if I stay fit, then the club will see the best of me.
“It was obviously disappointing to see Brendan go and our indifferent start, but change happens in football.”
Lallana is currently on international duty with England and, after starting in the 2-0 win over Estonia at Wembley on Friday, could feature tonight against Lithuania.
What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins
If Lallana can keep himself fit I think he'd fit quite well into the type of football Klopp is likely to play i.e. high energy pressing with some good technical skills.
He's got a lot to prove though as whilst he's talented he's not managed to show it on a consistent basis for us so far.
Every time I watch lallana I'm impressed by his ability off both feet but he always takes too many touches. This slows the play down. Unless he changes this I don't think he will be a good fit for a klopp system.
