I think that the big thing with Man Utd squad players under Ferguson was that their team had so many leaders who could organise / control etc, the squad players just had to follow instructions and play 6 or 7 out of 10 games and the 'big' players would do the rest. We don't have the big players who do it game in game out, when some of our squad players have to play there isn't enough around them if they only play at a 6/10 type level. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

So.. What does he do?
Attacking midfielder, doesn't score or ever really look likely to.
Very rarely creates anything.. His link up play is average and hardly ever beats his man.
He'd be someone I'd be looking to move on in the summer, Milner and Henderson at least play deep and have other duties, he's decent at times but nowhere near good enough. Gets quite an easy ride too.Vive la France

He is a ****in jokeshop. That header today summed him up. He's like a guy that goes into a knocking shop, picks the hottest clunge, pays his cash, gets her to wash her beaver for him.........and then can't get it up.
He's had far more chances than others who've been bombed out....
He must be unreal in training.

Lallana and Milner has to be the most impotent behind the front man you can get.

I think today's plan may have been to use the industry of Milner, Lallana and Henderson to press Man Utd like mad, but it didn't work, because we weren't very good today at it, and Lallana was the quietest of the three.
There was one moment when Lallana was against the Man Utd full-back, and another Utd player was coming to help. If that was a proper wide player, they would've taken the full-back on and whipped in a cross. Lallana did one his Cruyff turns and went backwards.

We pressed them pretty well today and were by far the better side out there, our issues are we can't defend a corner and for all the cash we've spent on strikers we still don't have one on the pitch that can stick the ball away for us on a regular basis.
Plenty of industry, some decent all around play but bugger all in terms of actually putting the ball in the net.
This season with a decent finisher would be much different

Cant be carrying an attacker who probably wont score a goal all season and expect to do anything. Has he even had 5 shots on target this season?! He seems to barely threaten. At least when Firmino was/is struggling he's been missing sitters, hitting the woodwork or whatever, ya can say "well they might start going in soon", with him there just seems to be nothing!

I'm all for keeping good players in the squad but he isn't one. He's not a starter and he's not a lad who you can rotate into the team when you need to or bring off bench to try change a game cfor the simple reason that you'd have no confidence he'll actually contribute something useful.
So sell.

Tex. we have only seen 1-2 times given a half opportunity with second string around him. It was obvious today, that he wouldn't get a chance againg as usual.Originally posted by Lents View PostHis transfer fee is irrelevant whilst we had that crank in charge, his end product isn't the best but I can't see anyone in our squad better than him. Texeira is a waste of time, the new Suso, Pacheco, nemeth and god knows who else
Lalla is to soft - as if he is always only giving himself 90-95% - and with to low welfconfidence to make proper attempts at goal.- - - - -

There's a reason we haven't seen anything of texeira, he's ****e. Lallana isn't the answer, but he's leagues ahead of frigging Joao texeiraOriginally posted by Danish_Pastry View PostTex. we have only seen 1-2 times given a half opportunity with second string around him.
