I think people can be so harsh on players returning fro injury. Accusing him of lacking pace (he never had any), and lunging into tackles. I think he's just been rusty to be honest.

Brilliant player to have on the bench for the final. If we're chasing the game he can create something. If we're ahead he's clever enough to keep the ball and slow the game down.

He's the type of player who we need to fill the squad out. That's how you build a squad by signing better players and the ones you have go to the bench.

yeh, just like all the lads were saying we should hang on to sturridge as back up, etc... that went well.

YNWA and all that, but also we need players who will play and are in their ascendancy, not on the wither.

I don't see him going anywhere this year. Can is off and Ox will miss much of the season through injury, but we have Keita and Fabino coming in. That leaves us: Henderson, Milner, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Keita and Fabino going into the season, with Ox coming back later in the season, Grujic can go out on loan again. I think that is a decent number given Lallana and Henderson are prone to picking up knocks or injuries and Milner is getting on a bit. I don't think that I would want to go into the season with less than that to be honest.

What? Have you not seen the numbers we've got in midfield? If Fekir signs we'll have 8 players for 3 positions, you could easily make a case to get rid of 1.
