Fair, but I doubt he going to reach his top level before the end of next month given how long he's missed this season.Originally posted by Fuzzy View PostConsidering how little time he's had to regain match fitness and form I wouldn't blame him for that, I still think he's a real quality player (although somewhat 'mellow' at times).
His injury record is just shocking though.

get him fit and sell asap. hopefully before he goes to the world cup and gets crocked again.Originally posted by Norbs View PostHis injury record is really irritating, probably moreso for him, he just never seems to get in to a grooveremoving all the weak links makes us stronger

i have mentioned a few times that i felt the time has come for lallana.
when i was saying this about daniel sturridge several lads were saying how good he has been and how he might come back and show some form, but i thought it highly unlikely, and i feel that the same is now true for adam lallana.
agree. he may regain fitness, but he wont retain it.Originally posted by labourRedIsn't it obvious. He's a growing injury concern and has contributed little this season. We might still be able to trade on him, rather than keep him like we did with Sturridge which didn't turn out well.
That said, he was at Melwood today and with a bit of luck can get fit as we may need him this season, if he can regain fitness.
yes.Originally posted by Pepe79Lallana is about to turn 30, he’s hardly played in 18 months. He’ll be no more than a highly paid squaddie going forward and it’s our last chance to get a decent fee for him.
We’ve not really missed him for the majority of his injury spells since last season, despite Phil going in the middle of them. It’s only now that all our other midfielders are injured that we could really do with him being fit.
we need to be less attached to some of these players, get the best we can out of them and then move them on. during out glory years we had a strong team AND strong management. for all the smiles and love the managers knew when their time was up and had no hesitation telling the player that it was time to empty their locker and look for a move.
we can now look to bring in a few new players and ensure that we are strengthening and no longer hanging on to any dead wood for sentimental reasons.removing all the weak links makes us stronger

People said the same about Sturridge for two years, even this one. Still the best finisher at the club, etc. etc.Originally posted by -V- View PostI like Lallana. Very good squad player. Give one more chance to get fit and hopefully stay fit
The best managers and clubs are ruthless with players. We still need to improve on moving players on before they cost an ransom in wages. Best start here. Also, IMO the team has evolved beyond him, he's too slow now.
