I was a big critic of him for the first couple of years of him being at LFC. I just don't see what he brings in terms of consistently making an impact on games. His numbers back this up.

There was an upturn when Klopp arrived - i think it was just a case of the team needing players that work hard - and to be fair to him, Lallana does put a shift in.

However, which of our rivals would take him? I don't believe any would. So while he is a solid squad player, that is all i think he will be. So when one of our players needs a breather, then A-L will be introduced to do some running and help see out games. Nothing wrong with that - all successful teams need someone like that.

I've always liked him but I can't see him getting back to his best.

One of our few midfielders with flair.
Those that hid Anne Frank were breaking the law.
Those that killed her, were following the law.

          why?

Based upon 10 minutes as a sub... give him a chance.

No, based on the length of his latest injury, his age and the speed that we move through midfield these days. His pressing was fantastic when he was fully fit but it will take a while to get back up to that level of fitness, I don't know he'll get the opportunity to build up this sharpness with a run of games.

The thing is if guys like him and Sturridge are happy trying to get into the first team and getting time from the bench it shows the upgrade in quality.

When Ox gets back we really have an incredibly strong midfield to pick from.

Me neither, it's going to be hard for him to get game time and we're well stocked at the moment. Should still command a fair fee should Southampton be struggling in January say.

You may be right, but we should give him a chance. How many times has Sturridge been written off.

Nobody is going to pay money for him until he is fit anyway. Ox is going to be out a while too. He should gave enough opportunities over the season to be able make a judgement next summer. A fit Lallana is a great option from the bench, as he is one of the few players who could comfortably replace firmino positionally.

I think with Shaqiri here now we could cope comfortably with Lallana moving on in January or next summer. Agree with those who think he's done here.

Him and Henderson are inseparable though - might be worth keeping him here solely for that.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

every time he comes back from injury he tries to be the Lallana from a few years ago which he isnt up to, its like his body and mind are completely out of sync plus we've evolved as team without him and dont need that anymore.

If he can adapt his game to be a bit more of David Silva/Ozil with work rate pulling the strings a bit deeper, I think he could have second wind here.

Fine to stay as a squadie cause realistically he's not in the first eleven right now. If he wants to start he's got to be a consistent contributor.

If the argument is that he wants first team football, then he should find a club where his patchy form is the acceptable level for first eleven players.

I said this in the match thread yesterday, but as good as Lallana was a couple of years ago it feels very much like we as a side have moved on and he hasn't, we've just left him behind. If he can't adapt he will end up moving on sooner rather than later.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

He was never 'that' good a couple of years ago either. It's just that we were really ****. I liked him back then but Shaqiri gives us more off the bench.
