This is why I think the signing on Benteke will be so effective. We have alot of creative and productive players in our midfield... Really and truly Sturridge and Benteke should be having a field day. Just once Rodgers finds the right set up and balance. Hopefully pre season gives some inkling.

Only way they are all in the same side imo is if either Firmino goes central (unlikely) or one of Lallana or Coutinho go into a midfield three. I don't see a 4231 happening with Hendo & Milner at the base.

I'm struggling to see Lallana get in the team, with Coutinho and Firmino as primary playmakers I feel that we need an injection of pace from that other attacking position which will be Ibe or Markovic otherwise we are too one paced and don't possess that threat on the counter

I never thought we should sign Lallana but if he stays fit then he could be a very useful squad player - as back up to about 4 players then he should get plenty of game time......if everyone was fit though, i'm not sure he even gets on the bench...

For me, if everyone was fit then our team would be:

Mignolet, Clyne, Moreno, Sakho, Skrtel, Emre Can, Henderon, Milner, Coutinho, Firmino, Sturridge....

with a bench of: Bogdan, Lovren, Flanagan, Lucas, Origi, Benteke, Ibe.............Markovic, Lallana, Allen, Toure, Ings all looking to break into the match day squad....
