I don't think anyone keeps Coutinho out of our side if he's fit & in form.

I see Lallana as more competition for Firminho... I wonder if we'll ever see all 3 in the same team.

I think we need at least one midfielder in the team capable of getting 10+ goals in a season. Firmino and Lallana are the most obvious candidates but I think there is a scenario where if the forwards fail again you might look to play both instead of Coutinho.

I think our first thought should be how to build a team around Coutinho though.

Guaranteed to start against Stoke IMO, if he remains injury free throughout pre-season.

Firminho will possibly be eased into the side and we may also manage Coutinho's minutes early in the season seeing as they were at the Copa.

Lallana fully fit is a cracking player

He is good player but personally he is still not good enough to be in the starting lineup.

An expensive option to come from the bench and hopefully when called upon he'll be used in the position in which he can make an impact.

He's certainly a great lad for turning into trouble more often than he needs to....sort of a symptom of a clearly talented player who sometimes lacks the decisive pace or vision required to execute what he probably sees going on in his head........if that makes sense .

When he's clicking in a well oiled machine you can see what's there, but whether he can have the extended run in a functioning side, due to the competition or his own injury concerns, remains to be seen. Nice option to have, even if we paid the English tax.
