His form has been really bad for the last year, you would hope that with the extra competition for a place would mean he would look fired up when he gets a chance but he's been anonymous last few times out.

This guy stands out as an actually real **** player. He excels at nothing but also offers nothing in his basics either, like holding the ball up or thinking of/executing the right pass. One of those genuine players about whom you can say 'yep, we're starting with 10 men'.

Saying that, once he's gone, he will be a legend to me for his CL contributions. In the same bucket as Dudek and Smicer.

Vicious circle innit. Doesn't play, low on confidence and match sharpness, comes in for bits and bobs, struggles, so doesn't play. He's a mediocre player at this level though, but he'll find a career in the continent.

Being a huge supporter of his for a few years I tried following his loan year at Lille online. Stunk there too but I always made excuses for him that Lille were defensive minded, not good enough for him, etc. He really just isn't good enough even for the continent I'm afraid.

He used to have electric pace once. That disappeared two years ago. It looks like he's running really fast but gets caught on every run he makes, even by old geezers. Its the opposite to Jota who looks like he's strolling until he pulls away from everyone who seem to be running in treacle.
