I don't doubt Sturridge's commitment. Not being happy proves that he is. If he wasn't despite not being at his best then we would have had a problem.

If he was committed he'd put a bit of work rate in since he won't survive under Klopp without it. So either he changes or he leaves and its the latter seeming more likely right now. I don't want him to go but I don't see him staying if his season carries on like this.

I like him, and think most people have a fairly reasoned sense of his promise. But some people have probably, however seriously or otherwise, gone a bit cock in hand over him. He's a pretty sound promising player, but any talk about being 'great', 'legendary' or put up there with Owen / Torres :has to be taken with a hefty pinch of the proverbial. Chances are he scarcely grazes that level.Like blood on iron

Well if it's not really his game to 'put a shift in' and he's been forced into it, it'll take a wee bit of time for him to adjust. Or he'll go.Originally posted by RichC View PostNot being happy shows nothing of commitment. See Fernando Torres who had similar body language/demeanour
In any case, us without him will weaken the side. It will be a shame because I think he needs more time after so long out.Are we winning?

I mentioned Torres - but I only said there are elements of his game reminiscent of Torres, he still has a lot to learn. I don't think anyone is getting carried away - I think we are though - all greatly encouraged by what we've seen.Originally posted by Red_Polo View PostI like him, and think most people have a fairly reasoned sense of his promise. It's a strong pointOriginally posted by Chazza View PostHe does need to move though regardless of his goal scoring ability he needs to do more.
Harry Kane moves and scores when he doesn't score he works hard for the team. The current Sturridge does not.
I suspect it will resonate more in the Sturridge thread rather than the Origi one

**** it. If we're going off piste, I've spent the day listening to Joanna Newsom. Not literally. On the stereo. She's magical. Not sure it would work in the Buzzo wedding Bliss list mind.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostIt's a strong point

Oh I don't know.

It's not really his game though. Never really was. Didn't prevent him banging goals for us and being brilliant. I trust Klopp to know what he's doing.Originally posted by Chazza View PostHe does need to move though regardless of his goal scoring ability he needs to do more.

(checks this is the Origi thread)
Divock's great and he's looking so much improved from earlier in the season. He's young and still learning and I reckon Klopp can turn him into some player.
Still doesn't look like a finisher to me though. I'm always slightly surprised when he scores. Hopefully these words with be all the motivation he needs.
Pin this up at Melwood Divock and prove me wrong.
