We were skint, he was cheap and worth a punt. Wasn't good enough, sold on at a big profit. One of our better transfers IMO.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

£1.5m => £7m as I remember. The problem wasn't him, it was not having at least 1 striker between him & Nando.
        3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Really thought he was going to kick on after this goal.

He also fitted the side tactically. Something we have struggled with in terms of a lot of our other forwards. Obviously never converting his U21 finishing to the first team meant he would never have a long term future at the top level.

Origi looks very good and I think he could be a regular starter in a few season's time.

He's already a Belgian international and gave a good account of himself in the World Cup. Definitely excited about seeing him develop at Liverpool

              I wonder 'who' signed him?

We played better once he and Lallana came on we were a bit stodgy and rigid before that.

He should get a start on Weds?

He's done really well just before getting his knee injury and the couple of sub appearances after.
Needs to start a couple of games now.
Sturridge should be protected all week and be nowhere near the Wednesday squad v City, wouldn't be remotely bothered if Firmino or Coutinho were dropped, neither has been good enough recently.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

Two pacey strikers up front please - Origi and Sturridge together - the only time its happened we pasted Southampton 6-1.

Defo, rest Sturridge for the game.

                          Yep.

Would be happy with Origi starting. That Southampton game has done him the world of good.

this lad looks like he is chomping at the bit, keen to show his worth. happy to do some running and also seems to know where abouts on the pitch the goal is.

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Thought he did very well again last night. Made himself an annoyance with good movement which created space for the others to exploit. So much better than the big Belgian lamp post does when he plays.

Coincidence or not, I think he's well suited to Klopp's style and might even be his preference as no.1 over Sturridge, in terms of executing his game plan.

Well whatever the situation, it's a good position to be in. If Sturridge can stay fit (IF) and with Ings back, do we need another striker?
