Origi also couldn't be learning movement and such from a better player, Sturridge is unreal, just a proper striker.

I thought that too but his body position was such that a) the goalie was completely sold to the far post and b) there's no way he could wrap his leg around for a shot to the near post.Originally posted by Venton View PostHe made a good run there but I thought he did his best to stuff up the shot - scuffed it into the ground. Am I being harsh?
He did what any good (confident) striker does, he improvised with a forceful nudge into the turf. One tit for another.

All in all though, I'm not convinced by Origi.Experimental music, Metropolitan foodstuffs, Mexican wrestler art, London suburbia, wry whimsy, fansy pants flim flam lad

Hopefully a few more sub performances like that will change your mind! I'd like to see some more link up play and perhaps a partnership with Firmino/Cout/Sturridge. He has the tools, he's good on the ball and now scores goals!Originally posted by Venton View PostHm, we'll give him the benefit of the doubt

Same old same old. The lads played a handful of games, has had a bad injury, is young and in a new league.
Give him time to adapt/ develop. He's looked good so far to me. Even when he wasn't scoring his runs and all round play was promising for me.
He may not turn out amazing but you'd think by now people would have learnt not to right off players so quickly.

Was directly influential for two goals scored during his time on the pitch and had a hand in the corner that led to the final goal. Took his own chance obviously, then steamed in when Clyne's first shot was saved. I'm sure he stepped on the goalie to force the ball to bobble out and Clyne finished on his second attempt. For Kolo's corner-goal he did well in the buildup by showing strength to chest down for Clyne(?) to go on a free run and winning the corner.
So yeah, nothing like Benters.
One tit for another.

He is still learning the game and makes naive mistakes at times but he is more suited to our style of play and offers more of a threat than Benteke at the moment. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
