I agree. Thought he was brilliant last night. The one-on-one miss aside

He'd have been fast tracking his way to legendary status if he'd scored that (arguably easier) chance.

2 nil at half time would have been a body blow for Dortmund.

Yeah he should have scored, The keeper planted himself with his legs miles apart, the nutmeg was easy. But he did great overall, I really like him. Team first with him. Just needs to become a regular scorer.

It would have been the equal of Owen's 2 goals against Roma in 00/01 for sure

            I like Origi a lot.

I love his work ethic. I love his movement. I love that he has the permanent look of a stoner.

He brings something to the team we don't have elsewhere.

But I don't think he is a great finisher. For all his running, he doesn't get a lot of chances, and those he does get, often don't get finished.

That said, I like him and I'm glad he's in the team atm.
            Oh I don't know.

The finishing will come with confidence I reckon. He's getting closer to being a good player with every start he gets under Klopp, the future looks bright for him

He really was very good. I don't know what he was trying to do when one on one but hopefully it doesn't cost us in the second leg.

The thing that's really impressed me is that alongside his strength he also has really good close control with the ball, he has all the attributes really, once he starts adding goals (which I really think he will) we will have a very very good player on our hands.

Deserves to be in the team on merit over Sturridge at the moment.

Expected this lad to have a few good moments with us this season, but didn't expect how much he would improve in such a short space of time.

City at home was when things started changing for me. He had his back to goal with the ball at his feet, and started backing into Kompany; pushing him back - you could see he was happy to compete and throw his weight around. Compare that to the start of the season when he was hiding in matches, the turnaround has been massive.

His finishing hasn't been great but that will come with time. He's still young and the important thing is that he's doing everything else right - being there in the first place, getting into the right positions, making runs into space at times and then coming short to hold the ball up a minute later.

Also noticed last night just how good his ball control is when dribbling at pace, proper twinkle toes

Really impressed with him last night. The fact that no one is moaning today about Sturridge being benched is a huge credit to Origi.

                          Absolutely.

With respect to Sturridge, I don't think we'd have had the same performance (and probably result) with him in the team last night. Origi has earned his place.

Sturridge should be a starter once he's gotten himself accustomed to Klopp's tactics. Orifice is good, but is nowhere near Sturridge's class yet. He has other attributes, which is good and gives us options. Options are nice to have and we have another one in store in the form of Ings.
                            Are we winning?

Still not convinced we'll see Sturridge here next season, supremely talented but I'm not convinced he's 100% committed to us.

I hope I'm wrong just this feeling he's seeing out the season
