£5m to get a player who is already hours. We've had to be mad to pay that.

So will he start against Sunderland, or will we wait till the Villa game
    Football without Origi is nothing

He's perfect for this league in that he's big, strong & fast. His pace means he can be effective in our team and he's got great dribbling and close control.

But looking at him, his final ball / shot is lacking and he needs to see the pass much faster. Clearly he's a player that will frustrate as much as delight. But he's a young kid and you have to hope he can be developed into more of a player that fits a pass & move team.
Baros was nothing like you describe him. If he were his goalscoring achievements in international football wouldn't have been so impressive.

I couldn't believe that he was 50/1 to be top scorer at Euro 2004. It was the best football each-way bet I've ever seen. I made a fortune backing him in that tournament. He outscored Rooney in the only tournament Rooney has played reasonably well in at international level.

If Origi has a similar "lack of awareness" I'll be very happy

It could be argued we got him cheap because of the loan, so we're just repaying the loan fee, with some interest for inconvenience.

        I don't think it's really that big a deal.

Normally I'd say he'd be better off staying there and playing games, but they are in such a mess too that I'm not sure it's benefiting him to stay. It sounds like it's really gone sour there for him. I can definitely see the logic in bringing him here early and giving him time to settle in.

James Pearce does have a habit of getting ahead of himself lol

Obviously they are trying their luck. From their point of view, although he's gone off the boil, without him they might fall into a relegation battle. I think come the end of the window they'll want a bit less to sell(?) him to us. The question is, is it worth paying a bit extra now to get him in for a few extra matches in January or not?

We should forget about Origi this season and go and buy a more experienced striker in January.

                          £3m minimum

Quite simply we should not have sent him back on loan and instead allowed the player to bed into english football sooner

Then we might not have been the ones to sign him. I don't think we necessarily held all of the cards.

I think its basically accepted as fact that we would have had to pay a much larger fee to get him this summer.

just my opinion but i think as he's seen as a young talent [lfc] probably sweetened the deal for Lille by saying we'll deal at £10million and you keep the player on loan for a season, and the error was probably by lfc in not allowing us to bring the player back at anytime without a fee,end of the day he is a lfc player, but who knows the contract details,i'm guessing even Ian Ayre doesn't know
