Good news for him at least. Maybe an outside chance to feature in the final.

Glad he makes the EURO's he should lead the line for Belgium. More playing time and experience in the bank. Also, is it 3-4 weeks from the date he got injured? Or from now? If it's the former he should make it, if it's the latter he could still have chance.Originally posted by redmike65 View PostMeh, only interested if he is back for May 18th which he won't be* The above is posted in my opinion. Thank God its not serious. Its all about next season now, and I don't want anyone (talented) not able to start the first game in August with a full pre-season behind them.
Him going to the Euros is probably ok as he's not exactly had a full tiring season this season what with all his injuries. One tit for another.

From a purely selfish point of view I would have preferred Origi to have missed the European Championship's and have a full pre-season to strengthen his ankle and return to competitive football gradually. As it stands, he has the opportunity to rush back when he may not be fully fit and you only have to think of Torres and Euro2008.
Saying that, if he feels ready and he's got the all clear from our doctors then it's a great reward for him working so hard this season.

Yeah...premature to talk him up as first choice... Remember Sturridges stats place him above every striker who ever played for the club (still... I believe) and thats a ****ing amazing list of names. If he has lost something then we have an amazing backup either wayIn the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

Not really when Klopp made him his first choice striker last year, before he got injured. Maybe our new signings will complement Sturridge and help him claim his place back, but based on Klopp's preferences so far, my money would still be on Origi starting against Arsenal at this current time.Originally posted by Charly View PostYeah...premature to talk him up as first choice... Well said bud, barring injury's he's a natural finisherOriginally posted by RichC View PostA fit and firing Sturridge is one of the best out there, it's great though we've got someone else that could push him for a starting slot. So many seasons having to rely on one decent striker staying fit with no other real options it makes a pleasant change !
