£6m loan fee
We only paid £10m for him didn't we? Hopefully he can have a good season and either come back a better player ready to push for a first team place or his value will have increased significantlyThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Yep, smart business by us again. Origi has way too much potential to give up on.Originally posted by Exiled_red View Post£6m loan fee

I think that the stick he has been getting on here recently is harsh, he's a good young player with lots of potential. He needs games though which he isn't going to get with us so a loan move makes sense. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

This is a very odd deal for Wolfsburg. £6m could probably have bought you a player of similar current ability to Origi, with the right scouting. He obviously has massive potential, but if he does fulfil that, it will be to our benefit, not theirs, whether we sell him on or take him back. We have the option to recall him midseason, which could mess up their plans if we decide to do that. And now they have to play him, even if he's playing crap? (Assuming everything we've heard is true of course.)
So genuinely, what's in it for Wolfsburg? If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Origi scored 7pl goals last season and was far from a regular starter. No way are you getting a player as good as him for £6m.Originally posted by RedReet View PostThis is a very odd deal for Wolfsburg. £6m could probably have bought you a player of similar current ability to Origi, with the right scouting. He's a far better player than this thread makes out. A loan deal for him is perfect for all parties.Modifying post.

Don't get the Origi bashing, still a great prospect.James Philip Milner Fanclub #1

Well maybe £6m is a bit of a stretch, but it still seems like an awful lot for a loan deal, especially one with so many stipulations in our favour (actually didn't think you were allowed a recall option if a fee was involved).Originally posted by Buzzo View PostOrigi scored 7pl goals last season and was far from a regular starter. And I've never once said he's a bad player, that wasn't the point I was making. There just seems a lot of risk involved for Wolfsburg, so seems like such an unusual deal to me.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

£6m for a loan is proportional to the insane rise of transfer fees I guess?
It's become pocket change by the looks of it.
Good deal for all parties involved, we get 1/15 of Lemar money and player development in a good team, Wolfsburg get a good (def underrated) player, and he gets enough playing time to finally develop his talents.
I really like Origi, thought he was already brilliant before that cunt snapped him, and if this goes well I think he'll be a starter here. Clearly Klopp thinks so too, if we worked this hard to get him an obligatory appearance clause or whatever.
