Origi is pretty much an unknown quantity. Don't know what to make of him but he'll surely be just a squad player.

I think last season is fairly easily explained.Originally posted by SB View PostHe looked very good at the WC last year & to keep Lukaku on the bench shows his national team manager thinks highly of him too. Not sure what happened with his lack of form this season but it didn't go as well for him.
Only saw him at the WC but saw enough good to get a bit excited. I think he's gonna surprise a few...only a hunch, not a massively informed opinion or anything. But he is lightning quick and could cause real damage coming off the bench against tiring opposition. Tons and tons of scope for improvement. His crap last season with Lille seems to have quashed any notion of excitement about this lad but as I said I think its quite easily explained. I'll be surprised if Ings is ahead of him in the pecking order come, say, the end of next season.Last edited by Shaggy; 26-06-15, 03:07 PM.Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I think it's more a case of his head being in Liverpool. Imagine having to wait a year for your dream moveOriginally posted by Shaggy View PostI think last season is fairly easily explained.

. I'm not saying he has a bad attitude but it could definitely be a factor.
In Klopp we trust.

I'm hoping that the WC form is what we'll see & not the Lille form of last season. He was their star man the year before & hit n miss recently.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostI think last season is fairly easily explained.

The fact we've got Origi coming in who's very quick, strong powerful and looks to have decent skills and huge potential makes the links to Benteke even more bizarre, he's also displaced Benteke in the national team hasn't he?Originally posted by SB View PostI'm hoping that the WC form is what we'll see & not the Lille form of last season. Origi played in the World Cup ahead of Lukaku after a successful season at Lille. Benteke would've started but missed the tournament through injury.Originally posted by Gazzla View PostThe fact we've got Origi coming in who's very quick, strong powerful and looks to have decent skills and huge potential makes the links to Benteke even more bizarre, he's also displaced Benteke in the national team hasn't he?
Since Bentekes return he's been first choice and since Origi has been in abysmal form Lukaku is ahead in the queue.Forwards.......

Origi has only recently turned 20 years of age......in reality he has the talent to reach the very top of the game..... players develop and sometimes stagnate at different rates but there is no doubt that he is a talented lad. LFC will be a very good place for him to develop and showcase his talents and assuming Brendan is here, then he will be under a very good manager in terms of bringing young players through.....
What would be great is if LFC dont need to rely on him week in week out.....if he can be on the bench for most games and ready to help the team from there, then we should be in a great position..... however, you never know how things could pan out. What if Sturridge breaks down again....this lad could get his chance and show talents that make it hard for Brendan to not play him..... some people think that we will be looking at a Sturridge, Firmino, Bacca strike force but wouldnt it be great if Origi, Sturridge and Ibe were all going to Euro2016 as first teamers having had brilliant seasons for Liverpool - each scoring more than 15 goals each.....
What would be better again is if Sterling also bombed at Man City!!!
Wouldnt it be great to be discussing this lad
