I'd assume we'd have to move someone on first? Like them or not we have;

Sturridge, Balotelli, Borini & Lambert here already. Rodgers has favoured playing 1 up top and Markovic has struggled for game time although he'd be an option as a striker too.

If Sturridge comes back and they play together it could work but it seems like more pressure on yet another kid.

He is confident to shoot on his left or right foot. Has a piledriver from outside the area like Sturridge in his locker. He can dribble with pace himself, or lay on balls for oncoming midfielders. And he works the channels when required.

He isn't a natural goalscorer because Lille play turgid **** football. That helps them keep clean sheets (in an already poor league) but is hardly an environment for our youngster to be learning how to score goals. Just turning up for 90 minutes to chase hopeful balls can be counter-intuitive and teach him NOT to find niche spaces because, well, why bother?

I'd have him back in a heartbeat, even if it is to loan him out again to a championship club. Ibe is at a top notch club (Derby) because they play good attacking football.

Derby play some top football now. Very similar to how we played last season going forward. Got a better balance with defence though. Understsndable why Ibe is doing well there.

In reality, we have to bring him in now. We need another striker. Spend £30 m on a striker and then come the summer we have Balotelli, Sturridge, Origi & a £30m striker. Plus Lambert.

Sounds great, but for a club of our level it's a bit much.
