So leaves Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea and us for the top four places.

Wildly simplistic I know but what the ****!

And we have played two of them.......and beaten them both.........away from home

We are looking good, if we don't achieve top four this season it would be disappointing given that we haven't got any European distractions. I think we'll be up there, not sure we can compete with City, but we're as good as any of the other prospective top four teams.

Hopefully we'll be sat here in 20 years time speaking of Klopp in the same manner.
Its funny how we have quantified esteem

Shanks, Paisley and Fagan are revered for their service and for what they all did to the club

Kenny is held in high esteem as he was a brilliant player, and for how he led the club as manager through 2 of our darkest periods

From then on it becomes rather more difficult and opinion becomes divided

Souness who was probably one of our greatest players has had this reputation badly tarnished for his failings at managerial level and for his notorious interview with that paper

Roy Evans is probably seen as the local lad who didnt quite make it, which is very much in parallel to his playing career. Thats probably a harsh assessment of Roy

Houllier brought us a decent amount of silverware but I dont look back on the football or him with much reverence.

Rafa brought us probably one of our greatest nights ever and I always look to him with fondness because his family have rooted here and I think him and his family actually get the club & the city. They feel part of it

            Roy Hodgson - enough said

Brendan I think was a little too false for me and I would suspect with time he will be often forgotten when talking about LFC managers

Klopp absolutely gets it and whether he wins trophies or not I suspect he will be held in very high regard no matter what
Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Success and failure isn't just winning leagues and cups - not all black and white.

I'm close to enjoying football again.

That’s the new football – it’s full of Einsteins.

Ok so point being he talks sense, as do people like the Redmen, people who dont talk sense are bellends who ring into 606 demanding managers who they were drooling over last season should be sacked 5 games into a season, or nearly all of the football media who have become a parody of themselves, going from one criss to the next and making them up if there are none being served up, all of this feeds into the fans who let this warped view of the game cloud there assesment of the team the club the manager.

Klopp spoke complete and utter sense in this press conference. We are responsible for getting behind the team every game, not becoming despondent the first sign of trouble or we should not buy into the doom and gloom merchants saying Hull is the team to be worried about, Hull should be and are worried about us .

Given our usual kindness to newly promoted teams, we should be worried about ourselves.
