He'll probably get us to two cup finals and lose them both while coming second in the league. There'll definitely be some moaning then.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostThe biggest downside I can see with Klopp is that he has us playing all this universally loved good footy, he's got us winning games, he is picking the strongest XI, he is getting the best out of all of our players. IAFN... Because, The result of this is...
We have nothing left to argue about
We've nothing to moan about. We are all in almost complete agreement. Even Nigey/Fredo and DanP are incapable of inciting debate or rage.
Definitely for the First time since I've posted on this forum.
Oh for the heady days of arguing online about Roy or Brendan.
**** off Klopp.
Klopp out

I think its slightly different with Clubs ... although lately we've seen Rafa manage Chelsea, Maureen manage United, Owen play for United ..... that said Klopp does seem to be cut from different clothOriginally posted by foresterbloke View PostThat's my point, it's meaningless, it's just a football job.
He is as much about the journey as he is the success, he has had the perfect career so far ... other than the national team I would suggest as he has said himself there are very few places to go from here ...
Bayern are just a massive club all his previous clubs fit him like a gloveLast edited by Nicey; 26-09-16, 08:23 AM.Anybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. Nov 2015

I read that since Klopp has taken over, LFC have scored 71 league goals - more than any other PL club in that period.
The man is unreal.
What he has done with this team already is incredible. I think we are all in for an amazing ride over the next 3 or 4 years.
Right through the team, we look 20% better in every position. He said something along the lines of "we must sort out the defense" in Feb / March this year. Well getting Matip on a free, replacing Skrtel with Klaven for less money and moving Milner to left back has been unbelievable work. Add Karius to the strength in depth for the goalie position and for a net spend of about £3m, our back 5 is strengthened no end.
In midfield we look so energetic. Henderson all of a sudden looks the player he always thought he could be. And if and when his standards slip or he needs a rest, then Emre Can will be back 100% fit ready to challenge as well. Gino has looked like a very clever buy - offers energy in the middle of the park. And Lallana has gone from the player that I spent 2 years slating - all fart and no poo - to being productive and much more decisive with the ball at his feet. Coutinho and Firmino are working unbelievably hard but also bringing top class quality. And Sturridge is looking like he knows he will need to knuckle down and work hard for 90mins to get a starting spot. Mane too looks like a world beater. Those of us that questioned the cost of the fella have obviously been proved 100% wrong because right now he is looking like one of the most dangerous players in the league.
All of the players are working their nuts off but the spirit is so obviously sky high right now. You can see that by the way the players celebrate when we score and also by how unselfish the players are with the ball at their feet.
And it is all down to Klopp. He has made the group together, hungry and happy. The fans in the stadium can sense it too. The Hull game for me was the best atmosphere I have experienced at Anfield against one of the "smaller" teams - especially a 3pm kick off.

He'll have been here a year on October 8th. Feels like he's been here years already.
Look at the progress we've made since then. Staggering. Not only does he get the absolute maximum potential out of every single player, but he's got a real eye for a bargain too.
I'd say we lucked out getting him, but that's not true. We got him because of who we are as a club. Others may mock but we're a special, unique club, and we appeal to a special unique manager like Klopp.
Imagine how we'll luck in another 12 months. Then imagine how we'll look in 24

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I said start of the season that we have an excellent squad but that we were missing top class 'game changers'. This was after the Burnley game.
I take that back now, as with Coutinho, Firmino and Mane, we've got 3 of the best around and couldn't really ask for more.
However
, re-assessing the team, I think if there's one type of player we're missing, it would be a midfield enforcer to go with the stylish football. Some ruthless c*nt of a man to do the dirty work and intimidate. I don't think it's essential, especially in the modern game, is just a whim that I have that it's the one type of 'personality' missing from the squad.

I think it's getting extremely difficult to replace anyone in our team, you are looking at the best players who also have the required work rate and team ethos. We could use a full back who can play on both sides, maybe top central defender, but if Can, Henderson, Wijnaldum and Grujic continue to develop maybe we're good there?* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

That's the million dollar question as you wouldn't replace anyone at the moment with the team functioning so well.Originally posted by The_weatherman View PostBut who do you replace?

My point was really to do with a certain 'character' in and around the squad who's a bit of a hardman and will do the dirty work when the going gets tough.
