Early impressions are good. Reminds me a bit of Ferdinand in the little I've seen of him so far. Carried the ball forward well on a couple of occasions last night and it was him that started the move move for Grujic's goal. Apparently recovering form an injury which is restricting his jumping/heading, but he soared above everyone for one cross and flicked it out of danger. Also likes to press high and win the ball which is what we need.

Looks extremely laid back though, so don't know if that will be positive attribute as he'll remain calm under pressure or if he'll be caught out napping against better teams.

looks a bit slow and cumbersome at times, but then confident with the ball with both feet and not scared to break the lines to carry the ball and get forward. promising enough

Although I'm not sold on Matip from what i've seen of him in his Schalke days which isn't a huge amount, but he has always looked alot quicker than his cameos so far at LFC. Carrying injury and only pre season so hopefully his pace will quicken. I'm just worried about his positioning at CB, especially with the tempo of the league.

I think they were taken out permanently (well that was the plan anyway ).
